Sort your Chrome bookmarks in bulk with AI. 100% free, unlimited — bring your own AI key or use Local Mode. Privacy-first. Sift — The AI Bookmark Organizer That Sorts for You Stop drowning in hundreds of unsorted bookmarks. Sift is a smart bookmark organizer powered by AI that instantly summarizes any webpage, suggests the best folder from your existing structure, and auto-tags it — all in under 2 seconds. You plug in the AI provider of your choice with your own key — free or paid, whichever you prefer. Plus a no-key Local Mode that works right away, offline. 100% free, no account. Organize bookmarks with AI, not manual effort. WHY SIFT Most people save bookmarks and never find them again. The browser's built-in manager was designed in the 1990s and hasn't meaningfully evolved since. Sift reimagines the entire experience: every page you save is analyzed by AI, placed in the most relevant folder, and made instantly searchable by title, URL, or content. No manual sorting. No lost links. No chaos. MULTI-LLM AI ENGINE Sift gives you a true choice of AI providers, connected with your own key: some offer a free tier, others are paid — you stay in control, and you can switch anytime without losing your data. Prefer not to depend on any key at all? Local Mode files your bookmarks offline using keyword-based semantic analysis, with zero external network calls. Switch providers anytime without losing your data. The AI engine uses structured JSON outputs and calibrated temperature settings to deliver consistent, high-quality results every single time. SMART FOLDER SUGGESTIONS Sift reads your actual folder structure and suggests the most relevant destination for each new bookmark. It does not invent a generic category and force you into it. It looks at what you already have, finds the best match using a second-pass re-scoring algorithm, and places your bookmark where you would have put it yourself. When no existing folder fits, it creates a new one automatically and names it intelligently based on the page content. Your bookmark library grows in a way that always makes sense to you. KEY FEATURES - Instant AI page summary generated in approximately 2 seconds - Smart folder suggestions derived from your real folder structure - Bulk sorting: file an entire folder of bookmarks at once, you approve in bulk - Auto-create new folders when no existing match is found - Smart Search: find any bookmark by title, URL, or page content - Multi-LLM support: the AI provider of your choice with your own key, or the no-key Local Mode - AES-256-GCM encryption protects your API keys locally - Full internationalization with native English and French support (every interface string covered) - Clean, distraction-free Apple-inspired light theme 100% FREE Sift is completely free and unlimited. No credit card, no account, no paywall. You bring your own AI key (some providers have a free tier) or use Local Mode with no key at all. Because everything stays on your machine and runs through your own key, Sift costs us nothing to run — so it's free, for everyone. If Sift saves you time, the best support is a review on the Chrome Web Store. PRIVACY-FIRST Sift was built with privacy as a core requirement, not an afterthought. Every API key you enter is encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM before being stored. Your URLs never pass through our servers: they go directly to the AI provider you choose, with your key (or nowhere at all, in Local Mode). Your bookmarks, summaries, and folder structure never leave your device. No analytics. No telemetry. No email collection. No tracking pixels. No third-party data sharing. Sift respects GDPR: no personal data is collected. Your data belongs to you, stored on your machine, under your control. BEAUTIFUL INTERFACE The extension interface is designed with the same principles that make great software feel effortless. Clean lines, generous whitespace, a refined light theme inspired by Apple's design language, and instant visual feedback make every interaction feel intentional and calm. Using Sift should feel like a pleasure, not a chore. TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE Sift is built on Chrome's Manifest V3 architecture — the current and future standard for Chrome extensions, ensuring long-term compatibility and enhanced security. The AI pipeline uses structured JSON outputs to reduce hallucinations, temperature calibration for consistent quality, and a second-pass re-scoring step that verifies folder matches before committing. Response caching reduces redundant API calls, making the extension faster and more economical over time. Every technical decision was made to maximize reliability and minimize friction. INTERNATIONAL Sift is fully translated into English and French, with every string in the interface natively localized. Language switching is seamless. If you work in a multilingual environment or simply prefer your tools in French, Sift is ready.
