Work faster in Xero. Keyboard shortcuts, Cmd+K search, client switcher, invoice rename & quick-capture notes for accountants. XeroBoost: The Productivity Layer for Xero If you spend your day in Xero, you know the drill — clicking through menus to get to the same pages, switching between client organisations, downloading invoices and manually renaming them, losing track of where you were. XeroBoost fixes all of that without ever leaving your browser. --- NAVIGATE XERO IN SECONDS The XeroBoost sidebar puts 55+ Xero pages one click away — invoices, bills, bank reconciliation, reports, contacts, payroll, and more. Pin your most-used shortcuts to the top, drag to reorder them, and collapse the sidebar when you need screen space. Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac) to open the smart search overlay. Type any Xero page name and jump straight there — no more hunting through menus. --- KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS FOR EVERY XERO PAGE Stop reaching for the mouse. XeroBoost adds keyboard shortcuts across Xero: • Alt+I — New Invoice • Alt+B — New Bill • Alt+C — Contacts • Alt+R — Reports • Alt+P — Profit & Loss • Alt+S — Balance Sheet • And many more — press Alt+/ to see the full list Remap any shortcut to match your workflow. The built-in shortcut trainer tracks your usage and guides you toward muscle memory. --- CLIENT SWITCHER — JUMP BETWEEN ORGANISATIONS INSTANTLY Managing multiple Xero organisations? The client switcher remembers every org you've visited, shows your recent activity within each one, and lets you jump between them in two clicks. Colour-code clients to tell them apart at a glance, star your most important ones, and filter by name with instant search. --- INVOICE PDF AUTO-RENAME When you download an invoice or bill PDF from Xero, XeroBoost automatically renames it using a template you define. Instead of "INV-1055.pdf" cluttering your downloads folder, get "Acme Corp - INV-1055 - 2024-06-15.pdf" — organised and ready to file. Customise the filename template with any combination of: • {ContactName} — the client's name • {InvoiceNumber} — e.g. INV-1055 • {Date} — the invoice date • {YearMonth} — for monthly folder filing • {Amount} — the invoice total • {CompanyName} — your organisation name --- QUICK CAPTURE — NEVER LOSE A THOUGHT The floating capture button lets you save anything without breaking your flow: • Bookmarks — save any Xero page and jump back with a keyboard shortcut • Memos — typed notes attached to the current page • Screenshots — capture the visible tab instantly • Voice notes — record audio directly in the browser All captures are stored locally in your browser. Access them from the sidebar or the captures panel. --- STICKY NOTES Pin draggable sticky notes to any Xero page — leave reminders on a client's invoice list, flag a reconciliation item, or note a follow-up task. Notes stay attached to the page URL so they reappear when you return. --- DARK MODE & COMPANY THEMING Switch between light, dark, and auto (follows your system preference) themes. Enable dynamic company theming to give each client organisation a distinct sidebar colour — useful when jumping between tabs for different clients. --- YOUR DATA STAYS WITH YOU XeroBoost stores everything locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. No account required. No data sent to external servers. No subscription. --- BUILT FOR ACCOUNTANTS AND BOOKKEEPERS XeroBoost is designed for people who live in Xero all day — accountants, bookkeepers, and finance teams who need to move fast across multiple clients and dozens of pages. Every feature is built around real Xero workflows. --- GETTING STARTED 1. Install XeroBoost 2. Open any page on go.xero.com 3. The sidebar appears on the right — click any shortcut to navigate 4. Press Ctrl+K to search, Alt+/ to see all keyboard shortcuts --- Questions or feedback? We'd love to hear from you.
