Reddit Comment Scraper is a Chrome extension that saves a single post's comments or bulk-exports open Reddit post tabs into one JSON file. Use this Reddit comment exporter to collect discussions for customer research, product feedback, content planning, or qualitative analysis. Keep comment text alongside authors, scores, timestamps, links, and reply structure so you can trace a finding back to its source. Export a single Reddit thread 1. Open a Reddit post and click the extension. 2. Select "Scrape Comments" and follow the progress. 3. Review the threaded comments, then download CSV or JSON, or copy the JSON to your clipboard. Import the CSV into Excel or Google Sheets to sort and filter comments. Use JSON when you need structured post and comment data for scripts or research tools. No coding or API key setup is required. Collect multiple posts with bulk export Open the Reddit post tabs you want in one Chrome window, select "Bulk export open Reddit tabs," and start the export. The extension skips duplicate posts and downloads one combined JSON file with the collected threads and any failed-post details. Bulk export uses JSON; CSV export is available for individual posts. The bulk job runs in a separate extension tab, so you can close the popup while it works. Keep that tab and the source Reddit tabs open until it finishes. Choose the data you keep Select the fields to include in your exports, such as comment text, post title, subreddit, scores, authors, timestamps, comment links, and reply nesting. Your settings apply to CSV, JSON, clipboard, and bulk JSON exports. Reopen previous single-post scrapes from local History. Local processing The extension fetches discussions directly from Reddit and processes them in your browser. Scraped data is not sent to developer-controlled servers. History and export settings stay in Chrome's local extension storage. There are no developer accounts, analytics, tracking, or ads. Scope and limits Works with post pages on reddit.com and old.reddit.com. It collects the posts you open, rather than crawling entire subreddits. Deleted, removed, or inaccessible comments cannot be recovered. Very large threads may leave some collapsed replies unloaded; the extension shows a notice when its expansion limit is reached.
