Instant price comparisons, profit calculations and market insights for Reverb.com sellers. ReverbPricer - Smart Pricing for Music Gear Sellers Stop second-guessing your margins on Reverb. Start seeing them before you commit. You just listed a vintage Strat for $450. Someone's watching it. An offer comes in. But after Reverb's cut and shipping, will you actually make money? You pull up a calculator, try to remember the fee rate, punch in numbers. By the time you figure it out, the moment's passed. That's the problem. Reverb moves fast. Your pricing decisions shouldn't depend on mental math. WHY PRICING ON REVERB IS HARDER THAN IT LOOKS Reverb's fee structure sounds simple on paper — 5% selling fee. But real profit depends on more than one number. - Shipping costs vary by item size, weight, and destination - Your cost of goods changes depending on where you sourced the item - Condition affects what buyers are willing to pay - Watchers and offers tell you how the market is responding — but that data sits scattered across the page Most sellers either ignore these signals or try to track them in spreadsheets after the fact. By then, the data is stale and the listing has already been priced. ReverbPricer puts all of this in front of you while you're looking at the listing — right where you need it. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES ReverbPricer is a lightweight Chrome extension that adds a floating panel to every Reverb.com listing page. It reads publicly visible listing data and runs profit calculations locally in your browser. No spreadsheets. No switching tabs. No external accounts. Here's what you get: Instant Profit Calculator — Enter your shipping cost and cost of goods. The panel instantly shows your net profit, margin percentage, and ROI. Reverb's 5% selling fee is already factored in. Listing Activity at a Glance — See views, watchers, and offers for any listing in one place. No scrolling, no hunting through the page. Seller Information — The seller's name, location, and rating count are pulled into the panel so you can quickly assess who you're looking at. Condition and Shipping Display — The item's condition and shipping cost are surfaced clearly at the top of the panel. COGS Memory — When you enter your cost of goods for a category, the extension remembers it. Next time you view a listing in the same category, your cost is pre-filled. Stored locally — nothing is sent anywhere. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store. 2. Navigate to any listing on reverb.com. 3. The ReverbPricer panel appears automatically in the top-right corner. 4. Enter your shipping cost and cost of goods. 5. See your net profit, margin, and ROI instantly. That's it. No setup, no account creation, no configuration menus. WHY A FLOATING PANEL Pop-up extensions require you to click an icon, wait for a window, and then context-switch between the listing and your data. That breaks your flow. ReverbPricer sits directly alongside the listing. You see everything at once — the item, the price, and your profit — without leaving the page. The panel is draggable, minimizable, and stays out of the way when you're not on a listing page. COGS MEMORY The extension remembers your cost of goods by category. If you sell a lot of American Stratocasters and you enter $200 as your typical cost, the next time you view a listing in that category, $200 is already filled in. This is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. No data is sent to any server. No account is linked. If you clear your extension data, the saved costs reset. REAL SCENARIOS WHERE THIS HELPS Quick Offer Response: A buyer sends you an offer of $380 on your $450 listing. You glance at the panel — after the 5% fee and your $50 shipping, your net profit drops from $377.50 to $311. You can respond with confidence in seconds. Sourcing Decisions: You're at a local shop considering a used guitar amp for $120. You check a similar listing on Reverb, plug in $120 as your COGS and $30 for shipping. The panel shows your margin would be 42%. Worth buying. Shipping Cost Comparison: You're deciding between $25 flat-rate and $45 freight for a heavy combo amp. Enter each into the panel and see exactly how it changes your bottom line. No guesswork. Listing Price Optimization: You're about to list a pedal but aren't sure if $89 or $99 is the right price. Open a comparable listing, adjust mentally, and the calculator shows you the margin difference is $4.75 — maybe worth pricing higher. Watcher Monitoring: A listing has 39 watchers but no offers. That's high demand with price hesitation. The panel shows you this instantly, so you can decide whether to drop the price or wait. Bulk Listing Sessions: You're listing 15 items in one session. The COGS memory means you don't have to re-enter your typical costs for each category. Just browse, glance at the panel, and move on. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - It does not access your Reverb account, login credentials, or seller dashboard. - It does not make any network requests, API calls, or send data to external servers. - It does not track your browsing activity, collect analytics, or store personal information. The only permission it uses: - storage — Saves your panel position, COGS values, and daily usage count locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device. That's the only permission. No host permissions beyond the Reverb.com content script. No background network activity. Everything runs locally. FREE TIER ReverbPricer includes 10 free listing analyses per day. The counter resets daily. For most casual sellers, this is more than enough. Your remaining count is shown at the bottom of the panel. THE MATH BEHIND THE PROFIT CALCULATOR Net Profit = Sale Price - (Sale Price x 0.05) - Shipping Cost - COGS Margin = (Net Profit / Sale Price) x 100 ROI = (Net Profit / COGS) x 100 The 5% rate reflects Reverb's standard selling fee. No hidden adjustments. No rounding tricks. The same formula runs every time. WHO THIS IS FOR - Reverb sellers who want to know their real margins before listing - Flippers and resellers who source gear locally and sell online - Shop owners who list high volumes and need quick per-item profit checks - Casual sellers who want a simple, transparent fee breakdown - Anyone who's tired of opening a calculator app while browsing Reverb GETTING STARTED Install ReverbPricer and visit any listing on Reverb.com. Your profit breakdown appears in seconds. No account needed. No sign-up. No credit card. Just real margins, right where you sell.
