Translate what you hear and what you read: live subtitles over any video or meeting, plus full-page translation. 60 languages. Newey translates the foreign-language content in the tab you're already on — what you hear, and what you read — without leaving the page. LIVE TRANSLATED CAPTIONS • Pick an input: tab audio, your microphone, or both at once • Pick a target language (60 supported) • Press Start — translated captions appear over the page within seconds, and stay on top when the page goes fullscreen, so a video or a slide deck in presentation mode keeps its captions • Add context or a glossary before you start — names, product terms and jargon come out right instead of being guessed • Works on video, livestreams, calls, webinars and anything else playing in the tab PAGE TRANSLATION • Translate the whole web page you're reading into your language in one click, in place • Run it from the popup or with the keyboard shortcut; press again to restore the original • Show the translation on its own, or the original and the translation side by side • Leave it on and it keeps translating that tab as you move through the site • The default engine translates on your device using the browser's built-in translator — the page text is not sent to Newey, and no account is needed WHEN PEOPLE USE IT • A lecture, conference talk or livestream in a language you don't speak • A meeting, interview or webinar held in another language • A video with no subtitles, or subtitles only in a language you can't read • Foreign news, research papers, documentation or product pages you need to read now • Presenting to an audience and letting them read your words in their own language GOOD TO KNOW • Live captions need a Newey account (free to create). Page translation works without one on the default on-device engine • The extension interface is available in 30 languages; captions and pages translate into 60 • The free plan includes a weekly and monthly caption-time allowance and adds a small watermark under the captions. Paid plans remove the watermark, raise the limits and add the server translation engine. Current limits: newey.ai/pricing • Audio goes from your browser straight to the speech-recognition service — it does not pass through Newey's servers • The optional server translation engine is a paid-plan feature: it sends the page's visible text to Newey for translation and keeps no copy. Webmail, banking and health sites translate on your device regardless of the engine you picked
