Prevent doom-scrolling on TikTok. Set time or video limits and take control of your screen time. TikTok ScrollGuard is a mindful screen-time companion that helps you break the doom-scrolling cycle on TikTok — without being annoying. How It Works Set Your Intention — Before you start scrolling, choose a time limit (e.g. 15 minutes) or a video count (e.g. 10 videos). Browse Mindfully — A sleek floating widget shows your remaining time or videos as you scroll. Get Gentle Warnings — A non-intrusive toast appears when you're approaching your limit. Session Complete — A beautiful overlay lets you close TikTok, snooze for a few more minutes, or prove you really want to continue by typing a self-awareness phrase. Key Features Time-based or video-based limits — Set a session limit in minutes or number of videos. Floating progress widget — Always know how much time/videos you have left with an elegant pill widget. Smart warnings — Get notified before your limit hits, so you can wrap up naturally. Snooze with limits — Need a few more minutes? Snooze up to a daily limit you control. Typing challenge to continue — Want to keep scrolling past your limit? Type a randomized self-awareness phrase to prove you mean it. This adds real friction to impulsive scrolling. Auto-mute on limit — TikTok tabs are muted when your session ends, removing audio temptation. Usage statistics — Track your daily screen time, videos watched, and sessions in the popup. Weekly heatmap — Visualize your TikTok usage patterns across the week. Streak tracker — Build a streak of days where you respect your limits. Beautiful dark UI — Glassmorphism design that feels native to TikTok's dark theme. Zero data collection — All data stays on your device. No accounts, no servers, no tracking. Why ScrollGuard? Unlike blockers that completely restrict access, ScrollGuard uses intentional friction — you set your own boundaries, and the extension helps you stick to them. It's designed to build healthier habits, not punish you. Privacy First ScrollGuard stores all data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage. We don't collect, transmit, or share any data. No analytics, no accounts, no servers.
