YouTube-style controls for Instagram videos & Reels: timeline, speed 0.25–2x, volume, skip, fullscreen, shortcuts. Instagram Enhanced Player adds familiar, YouTube-style video controls to Instagram Feed, Reels and post videos — right where Instagram only gives you a thin progress line. WHAT YOU GET • Timeline — click or drag to seek anywhere in the video • Skip ±3 seconds with dedicated buttons • Play / pause button that always reflects real state • Volume slider and mute, working together with Instagram's own audio button • Playback speed: 0.25x, 0.75x, Normal, 1.5x, 2x • Fullscreen — button, double-click, or the F key • Keyboard shortcuts: Space/K play-pause, J/L and arrows to skip, arrows for volume, M mute, < > speed, F fullscreen • Click gestures on the video: 1 click play/pause, 2 clicks fullscreen, 3 clicks open that post in Reels • Player On/Off switch, plus default speed and default volume you set once HOW IT WORKS The control bar appears when you hover a video and fades out smoothly when you leave. It follows the real video frame, so it stays put while you scroll the feed and sits correctly on Reels, post pages and modal dialogs. New videos are picked up automatically as Instagram loads more content; tiny thumbnails are ignored. SETTINGS Click the toolbar icon. On Instagram a rounded settings panel opens on the page; elsewhere the normal popup opens. Your preferences sync through your Chrome account (chrome.storage.sync). PRIVACY The extension runs only on instagram.com. It does not collect browsing data, does not read your messages, and does not upload video content anywhere. Only your player preferences (on/off, speed, volume) are stored.
