Human-readable diffs for UnityYAML assets in GitHub pull requests Human-readable diffs for UnityYAML assets in GitHub pull requests. Unity serializes prefabs, scenes, and many other assets as YAML. On GitHub, a diff of these files is raw text, full of fileIDs, GUIDs, and serialization noise. PrefabLens adds a Raw / Semantic toggle to each UnityYAML file. The Semantic view shows what changed: GameObjects, components, and properties, with old and new values side by side. The view is like the Unity Hierarchy and the Inspector. Try it without installation: https://prefablens.hashiiiii.workers.dev/extension.html Features - Semantic view for 26 UnityYAML asset types: .prefab, .unity, .asset, .mat, .anim, .controller, .terrainlayer, .lighting, and more - PrefabLens shows the toggle on the "Files changed" tab, on commit pages, and on compare pages - Inspector-style tree: GameObjects, their components, then properties. The view highlights additions, removals, and changed values - PrefabLens resolves GUID references to asset names. A script component shows its script name, not a bare GUID. References to Unity built-in resources also show names - You can set the Raw / Semantic view per file and for the whole page. PrefabLens remembers your choice - Sign-in uses the GitHub Device Flow on the pull request page. There is no password and no separate server - A guard for large files: PrefabLens shows an oversized scene only after an explicit click, so the tab does not freeze Privacy - The extension parses all diffs locally in your browser with WebAssembly - Your GitHub token stays in the local extension storage.
