Description
Catches API keys, passwords & PII the moment you hit send on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini & Grok — and rewrites prompts expert-level. Every day, people paste things into AI chats that should never leave their machine — API keys in stack traces, passwords in config files, customer emails, phone numbers, credit cards. Once sent, you can't take it back. PromptZap is a prompt firewall for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Grok. With Auto Scan on (it's on by default), every prompt is checked locally the moment you hit send — if it spots a secret, it pauses the send and lets you hide it with one click. And when you zap a prompt (one click or Ctrl+Shift+E), it also rewrites it into an expert-level one. 🛡️ AUTO SCAN — PROTECTION EVEN WHEN YOU FORGET • Checks every prompt at the moment you press send — automatically, no button to remember • Pauses the send and shows exactly what it found; "Hide & Send" redacts it in one click • Works on all four supported platforms — inside x.com, scanning runs when you zap • Every catch is recorded in an audit log stored only on your device 🔍 WHAT IT CATCHES BEFORE YOU SEND • API keys and access tokens — 25+ key formats from major AI, cloud, payment, code-hosting, and messaging providers • Credentials — passwords, bearer tokens, basic auth, private keys, certificates, database connection strings • Personal data (PII) — email addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, SSNs, passport numbers, bank routing numbers, physical addresses • Detection runs locally in your browser, every time you zap or send — nothing is scanned on a server ⚡ ONE-CLICK PROMPT ENHANCEMENT • Clarity mode — sharpens vague prompts into specific questions • Depth mode — adds context, examples, and constraints • Structured mode — adds persona, steps, and output format • Auto mode picks the right one for you • Smooth typewriter animation, instant undo if you preferred the original • Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+E (Cmd+Shift+E on Mac) 🔒 PRIVACY BY DESIGN • No server-side prompt storage — enhancement requests are processed in memory and discarded • Your enhancement history and audit log live only in your browser's local storage, never on our servers — clear them anytime • No account required, no sign-up, no tracking of prompt content • Bring your own OpenAI API key and prompts go straight from your browser to OpenAI — never through our servers 💰 PRICING Free: 20 enhancements per day, secret & PII detection always unlimited. Unlimited: add your own OpenAI API key. No subscription, no account. 🌐 WORKS ON ChatGPT (chatgpt.com), Claude (claude.ai), Gemini (gemini.google.com), Grok (grok.com, x.com) Built by an independent developer in Stockholm.
