Detect AI-generated ghost artists on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major streaming platforms. I started Ghost Artist Detector in early 2026. As someone who loves listening to music, I frequently found myself getting frustrated with the way that the major music streaming platforms were feeding me suggestions for AI-generated songs. Some people may not care whether the artist they’re listening to is AI. They might just listen to music casually as background noise. Let me be very clear: that is NOT me. I like to know that the artist I’m listening to is human, and that a real person will receive streaming royalties for music they wrote or recorded. Maybe I want to see them live someday. Or maybe the lyrics really hook me, and I want to look up more about the artist to find their inspiration for a track I love. Or maybe I just don’t feel like funding some dude’s bot farm when there are living, breathing musicians out there struggling to make ends meet. Life is hard enough as is. So now what—we’re going to make it even harder for musicians to make a living, discouraging real, genuine songwriting in return for manufactured slop? Let me be very clear: This app is not going to be for everyone. If you’re okay with platforms feeding you AI song suggestions, I’m not here to stop you, and this app is not intended for you. But for anyone who is fed up with these AI suggestions and wants a tool that will help them filter human from AI, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve made Ghost Artist Detector incredibly easy to use. Whenever you’re listening to music on any of the major music streaming platforms, simply click on the extension, and click “Quick Check” in the little pop-up. The results will show up right in the pop-up window. No matter what part of the world you live in, or what niche type of music you listen to, I’ve gone to painstaking lengths to ensure that Ghost Artist Detector works on all genres of music. Every time you scan an artist, album or track, we analyze over 80 different signals (everything from the artist’s online presence, to the average length of their tracks, to pixel similarity of album art, and much, much more) to uncover whether the artist is human or AI-generated. And hey, if after our analysis we still aren’t able to give you a precise result, we’ll own it. You’ll get a result of either Ghost, Human, or Uncertain. I’ve made this extension free to use.
