Real-time spellchecker, suggestions, autocomplete & next-word prediction for Tigrinya & Amharic. Type faster with confidence. Redae (ረዳኤ) by Mermru is the premier typing assistant designed to help you write in Tigrinya and Amharic with speed, accuracy, and confidence. Whether you are drafting a professional document, composing a quick email, posting on social media, or filling out forms, Redae acts as your real-time editor. It catches spelling mistakes, offers instant corrections, and suggests intelligent autocomplete and next-word predictions as you type. Typing in the Ge'ez script can be time-consuming and prone to phonetic errors. Redae solves this by bringing a modern, lightning-fast typing assistant directly to your browser. Built from the ground up to be privacy-first, it operates almost entirely on your local device, only consulting a secure remote server for words it has not encountered in previous sessions. 🚀 Key Features Real-Time Spellchecking: Every word is checked against a local dictionary, with misspellings clearly marked by a red wavy line. Only words not in the local dictionary or haven't been seen in previous sessions are sent to the remote server to be checked once. Smart Autocomplete & Next-Word Prediction: Stop typing every single syllable or word. Redae predicts your current word and anticipates the next one based on the language patterns and typing style that it learned and saved locally, saving you thousands of keystrokes. Simply press [Tab] to accept a ghost-text suggestion or when more than one suggestions are available, choose from the most likely word completions using simple keyboard shortcuts (1, 2, or 3) or a quick click to maintain a fluid writing state. Locally-First & Lightning Fast: Your keystrokes do not need to make a round trip to a server to be checked. Redae leverages a highly optimized local memory cache. It remembers every verified word instantly without a page reload, meaning your typing speed is never slowed down by server lag or unstable internet connections. Mixed-Script Intelligence: Redae intelligently ignores Latin-based text (like English and numbers) to focus exclusively on Tigrinya and Amharic, ensuring high performance in multilingual documents. Personalized Dictionary: Easily add your own valid words or specific names with a single click. Once added, all instances of that word are automatically unmarked across your document. 🔒 Privacy by Design Zero-Logging Architecture: Your keystrokes are processed locally and we never store your personal text. Only anonymous, single words that cannot be found in the local dictionary or local cache are sent to the remote server for verification. Independent Local Storage: The assistant utilizes independent local sandboxes, keeping your personal writing data isolated and secure. Strict Validation Standard: To maintain maximum linguistic accuracy, only words that are actively verified by the remote Oracle or manually added by you are stored in the permanent index, preventing the dictionary from learning accidental typos. Full Dictionary Control: You can manage your personal dictionary through a dedicated Settings interface, allowing you to view, add, or remove words you have previously validated. Your personal text stays yours. The heavy lifting is done locally on your device. Our remote dictionary is only minimally consulted as a final authority for completely unknown words, meaning your private communications are never stored, sold, or monitored. 🔒 Transparent Usage Redae is available to install for free. We utilize a metered freemium model, offering a generous daily allowance for everyday typing. For heavy users requiring unlimited, uninterrupted writing assistance, you can upgrade to a Pro license directly through the Mermru platform.
