Web text toolkit for word count, Markdown export, plain text, web clipping, QR codes, case conversion and local text processing. **TextFlow** is a Chrome web text toolkit for writers, students, researchers, developers, editors, and everyday browsing. It helps you count, extract, convert, clip, export, clean, and share web text without switching between multiple online tools. **Key Features** 📊 **Word Count** Count selected text, manual input, or a full page. View total characters, characters without spaces, Chinese characters, English words, paragraphs, sentences, plus page images, videos, and links. 📝 **Markdown Export** Convert selected content or a full page to Markdown. Switch between source and preview, copy Markdown source, or download a `.md` file for notes, documentation, blog drafts, and knowledge bases. 📋 **Plain Text Extractor** Extract clean text from a selection, manual input, or the current page. Merge blank lines and optionally keep original URLs after link text. 🔖 **Web Clipper** Save the current page or selected text with title, source URL, and domain. Add tags and notes, browse recent clips, and export saved clips as Markdown or TXT. 📑 **Text Dedup / Sort** Process line-based text with deduplication, ascending sort, descending sort, dedup + ascending, dedup + descending, and optional blank-line removal. 🔤 **Case Converter** Convert text to uppercase, lowercase, sentence case, title case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, or CONSTANT_CASE. 🔄 **Text Reverser** Reverse all characters, reverse word order, reverse characters inside words, or create mirrored text. 🔲 **QR Code Generator** Generate a QR code from selected text or the current page URL. Copy the QR code or download it as an image. 😄 **Emoji Converter** Convert text into emoji keywords, regional indicators, circled letters, number emoji, or emoji decorations. **Why Use TextFlow** - **Selection-first workflow**: Select text on a web page, open the extension, and process it immediately. - **Common text tools in one place**: Count, extract, convert, clip, export, clean, and share text from a single popup. - **Context menu shortcuts**: Right-click selected text to count words, save Markdown, extract plain text, generate QR codes, reverse text, convert emoji, or save a web clip. - **Local-first processing**: Core text processing runs in your browser instead of sending content to an online converter. - **Customizable tool panel**: Enable, disable, and reorder tools in settings. - **Bilingual interface**: Switch between English and Chinese. **Good For** - Writers and content creators: count words, collect web material, export Markdown drafts. - Students and researchers: clip sources, extract text, organize notes and references. - Developers: convert naming styles, clean line-based text, save documentation snippets. - Editors and marketers: review web copy, organize keywords, create QR codes for sharing. - Everyday users: copy cleaner text and save page links or excerpts quickly. **How to Use** 1. Select text on a regular web page, or open the page you want to process. 2. Click the TextFlow icon in the browser toolbar. 3. Choose a tool, then copy results or download files as needed. **Permissions and Privacy** TextFlow requests only the Chrome extension permissions required for its features: - `activeTab`: read the current tab when you actively use the extension. - `storage`: save language, tool settings, order, clips, and preferences locally. - `clipboardWrite`: copy processed text, results, or QR codes to the clipboard. - `contextMenus`: provide right-click shortcuts for selected text. Core text processing, web clips, and preferences are stored locally in your browser by default. The extension does not sell user data or use it for ad tracking. If you voluntarily submit a feature suggestion, the suggestion text plus current page title and domain are sent via HTTPS to the developer backend to understand product needs and improve TextFlow.
