Generate strong passwords and passphrases. Local-only, never uploaded. Breach check, custom symbols, encrypted history. Stop reusing the same five passwords. Generate strong, unique credentials for every site, locally on your device, in one click. Nothing ever leaves your browser. 🚀 🚀 WHY DEVELOPERS, PMs, AND PRIVACY-FOCUSED USERS LOVE PASSWORD GENERATOR PRO Most browsers can suggest a password. Most password managers can store one. Almost none of them generate exactly the kind of password you actually need: 24 characters with no ambiguous lookalikes for that legacy banking site, a four-word memorable passphrase for a Wi-Fi access point you have to read aloud, a pronounceable string for a temp account, or a hundred unique passwords as a CSV for an account migration. Password Generator Pro is the password generator senior engineers and security-conscious folks reach for when the built-in browser tool isn't quite right. It runs entirely in the popup. It uses crypto.getRandomValues for true cryptographic randomness, not Math.random(). It checks against the public Have I Been Pwned breach list using k-anonymity, so even your hashes never leave your device. And it stays out of your way until you click the icon. ⚡ EVERYTHING IN THE FREE PLAN ✓ Strong password generator with crypto.getRandomValues randomness , never predictable, never seedable ✓ Length slider from 8 to 32 characters ✓ Toggle character classes: lowercase, uppercase, digits, symbols ✓ Skip ambiguous characters (l, 1, I, O, 0) for screens and printouts ✓ Custom symbol set , define exactly which special characters are allowed. Useful for sites that ban &, =, or ; ✓ Numeric PIN mode (4-12 digits) for ATM codes and lock-screen PINs ✓ Live entropy meter showing exact bits of randomness ✓ One-click copy with auto-clear from clipboard after 30 seconds ✓ Recent history of the last 5 generated passwords (encrypted at rest) ✓ Breach check against Have I Been Pwned, 5 checks per day ✓ 50 generations per day, no signup, no email required 🔓 WHAT PRO UNLOCKS ✦ Passphrase generator (diceware mode) , pick four to ten words from a curated 1,910-word English wordlist, optionally separated by digits or symbols. Memorable, typeable, and just as strong as a 24-character random password. ✦ Pronounceable passwords , alternating consonant-vowel patterns that you can actually say out loud and dictate to support staff without spelling each character. ✦ Length up to 128 characters, for SSH passphrases, root recovery codes, and anything that has to outlast quantum computing rumors. ✦ Bulk generate with CSV export , produce 10, 100, or 500 unique passwords at once and download a CSV ready to paste into your password manager during an account migration. ✦ Unlimited Have I Been Pwned breach checks , verify every password you generate against 800+ million leaked credentials. ✦ Encrypted history of the last 100 passwords , searchable, recoverable, decrypted only inside your browser session. ✦ Unlimited daily generations. 🎯 WHO IT IS FOR Developers spinning up service accounts. Sysadmins generating SSH passphrases and database root passwords. Security researchers running penetration tests. PMs onboarding new vendors with strong shared credentials. Privacy-focused users who don't trust any tool that uploads anything. IT support technicians dictating temporary credentials over the phone. Anyone who has ever typed Password123! into a real form and instantly regretted it. 🛠️ HOW IT WORKS 1️⃣ Pin the extension to your toolbar (one-time setup). 2️⃣ Click the lock icon to open the popup. 3️⃣ Drag the length slider, toggle character classes, hit Generate. 4️⃣ Click Copy, paste into the signup form, done. Clipboard auto-clears after 30 seconds. 5️⃣ Optional: switch to Passphrase mode for memorable credentials, or Bulk mode to generate a hundred at once. 💡 REAL USE CASES → Generate a 24-character password for a new bank account and confirm it has not appeared in any known breach → Produce a four-word passphrase like correct-horse-battery-staple for a router admin password you have to read aloud → Bulk-generate 200 unique passwords as a CSV for an account migration into a password manager → Get a pronounceable password to dictate to an end user over the phone for a temporary account → Generate a 64-character password for an SSH key passphrase or full-disk encryption recovery code → Make a 16-character no-ambiguous-characters password for a printed handout that humans have to type 🔒 PRIVACY YOU CAN VERIFY This is the privacy story most password tools won't tell you straight: every single password is generated by your browser, in your browser, using crypto.getRandomValues. The extension has zero host permissions for any third-party site. The Have I Been Pwned breach check uses k-anonymity , only the first five characters of the SHA-1 hash are sent, and 800+ candidate suffixes come back, so the actual hash never leaves your machine. License verification sends only an anonymous device ID. No password content. No analytics. No tracking pixels. The full Manifest v3 source is auditable. 📊 PERFORMANCE & BENCHMARKS A 32-character password generates in under one millisecond. Bulk-generating 500 unique passwords with CSV export completes in under 200ms. The whole bundle ships at roughly 90KB gzipped (most of which is the EFF diceware wordlist). The popup opens in under 50ms on a typical laptop. 🆚 WHY THIS OVER THE ALTERNATIVES ✓ Unlike online password generators, your output never gets uploaded or logged anywhere , everything runs locally ✓ Unlike browser built-in suggestions, you control length, character classes, ambiguous-character filters, and breach checking ✓ Unlike full password managers, this stays a single-purpose tool , pin it, click it, copy, done , no vault to set up ✓ Unlike command-line tools, no terminal and no flags , clickable GUI with live entropy feedback 🛡️ SECURITY Manifest v3. Zero remote code. No external CDN dependencies. Every release passes the lint-remote-code audit. All randomness comes from the browser's WebCrypto API. The diceware wordlist ships inside the bundle as a curated 1,910-word list of common English nouns and verbs. Encrypted history uses AES-GCM with a key derived per browser session. ❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Are the passwords actually random? A: Yes. We use crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's cryptographically secure random source. We never use Math.random. Q: Is my generated password sent anywhere? A: No. Generation happens 100% inside your popup. The optional breach check uses k-anonymity, so the actual hash of your password is never transmitted. Q: How does the breach check work without revealing my password? A: The Have I Been Pwned API uses k-anonymity. Your password is hashed locally with SHA-1, and only the first five characters of the hash are sent. The API returns hundreds of candidate suffixes, and your browser checks them locally. Q: What is the difference between Monthly ($1.99) and Lifetime ($7.99)? A: Same Pro features, different commitment. Lifetime pays for itself in four months. Q: Can I get a refund? A: Within 30 days of purchase, yes. Email support and we will refund, no questions. 🚀 GET STARTED Install the extension, pin it to your toolbar, generate your first strong password in five seconds, and never type Password123! again.
