Save, organize and instantly access selected text in local custom databases. Private, fast, and keyboard-friendly. 🛡️ DwarfVault — The Professional Local Knowledge Base Version 1.2: The Great Forge Update DwarfVault is a high-performance browser extension designed for the seamless capture, organization, and retrieval of data—entirely offline. Built with a "Privacy by Design" philosophy, DwarfVault stores every fragment of information locally on your device using IndexedDB, ensuring your data never leaves your control. 🏛️ Advanced Data Hierarchy The 1.2 update introduces a robust structural system for your knowledge: Parent and Child Vaults: Create complex database architectures. Organize broad topics (e.g., AI Research) and break them down into specific sub-vaults (e.g., Prompts, Documentation, Tools) with full drag-and-drop flexibility. Dynamic Evolution: Any independent table can be converted into a "Parent Table" at any time, allowing your knowledge base to grow organically alongside your projects. ⚒️ Optimized Workflow Efficiency We have streamlined how you interact with your data to minimize friction during browsing: Context Menu Favorites: Interact with your most-used databases without ever opening the extension popup. Copy, paste, or save information directly via a simple right-click. Smart Link Management: Open saved URLs directly from the browser menu. Users can now choose to link or unlink entries and favorites according to their specific workflow needs. Native Click (Bypass): Restore the native browser context menu on restricted platforms like Spotify, Canva, or Notion. Save information where other extensions are blocked. 📜 High-Fidelity Data Preservation Full Line-Break Support: Text is now saved with its original formatting intact. This is the ideal solution for storing AI Prompts, code snippets, professional email templates, or extensive citations. Automatic Metadata: Every entry natively captures the source URL, site favicon, and precise timestamp, ensuring full traceability of your research sources. 🔒 Technical Security & Privacy DwarfVault operates as a fortified digital vault: Zero-Cloud Architecture: No accounts, no trackers, and no external servers. Your data is stored 100% locally. Dott-yDB Engine: Leverages the power of IndexedDB to manage thousands of entries with near-zero latency. Portability: Effortlessly export and import your databases in CSV or JSON formats for manual backups or cross-browser migration. 🚀 Professional Use Cases: Developers: Store structured code snippets and technical documentation for quick retrieval. AI Researchers: Manage libraries of complex prompts and detailed model responses. Writers & Academics: Collect verbatim quotes while maintaining direct links to the original source. Power Users: Build a centralized repository of templates and quick-responses for daily communication. DwarfVault: Claim your vault. Forge your legacy. No servers, no compromises. 🛠️ Version 1.2 Release Notes New: Hierarchical Database Management (Parent/Child relationship). New: Context Menu Favorites for instant Copy/Paste/Save actions.
