ScreenShotta lets you take full-size screenshots of any webpage with one click or shortcut. No scrolling, no extensions that phone home, and no developer tools required. Everything happens locally, right inside Chrome. 🚀 Why Install ScreenShotta Because screenshots shouldn’t require scrolling, stitching, or manual DevTools commands. ScreenShotta uses Chrome’s own DevTools Protocol behind the scenes to capture 100% of the page — not just what’s visible on screen. It’s lightweight, fast, and completely private. 🟢 Key Features Full-page capture – Instantly screenshot the entire webpage, even beyond the visible viewport. One-click simplicity – Click the extension icon or use a keyboard shortcut: Windows/Linux: Alt + Shift + S macOS: Command + Shift + S Instant save – Images are automatically stored as PNGs in your default Downloads folder. Local & private – No servers, no uploads, no tracking — every screenshot is processed locally. Lightweight – No ads, no analytics, no background memory drain. 🧠 How It Works ScreenShotta automates Chrome’s hidden “Capture full-size screenshot” feature using the DevTools Protocol. When triggered, it: Attaches briefly to the active tab using the debugger API. Measures the page height with Page.getLayoutMetrics. Captures the full image (Page.captureScreenshot) with captureBeyondViewport: true. Saves the PNG to your Downloads folder. Immediately detaches and cleans up. Everything happens locally — nothing is transmitted, logged, or stored anywhere beyond your computer. ⚙️ Permissions Explained activeTab – Allows capture only of the tab you’re viewing. downloads – Saves screenshots directly to your Downloads folder. debugger – Grants temporary access to Chrome’s internal screenshot command. These permissions are used only during the capture process and are immediately released afterward. ⚠️ Notes & Limitations Cannot capture internal Chrome pages (e.g., chrome://, Chrome Web Store, browser settings).
