ZONK is a clean, single-purpose text summarization utility that processes long-form web pages into clear, structured briefings, and lets you chat directly with the content using your own AI provider keys. CORE FUNCTIONALITY: ZONK generates a structured summary of a web page using the AI model of your choice. After the initial summary is generated, you can ask follow-up questions in an interactive chat interface to dive deeper into the article's contents. KEY FEATURES: - Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): Supports secure local configurations for OpenAI, Google Gemini, and OpenRouter API keys. Pay only for the tokens you parse directly to your provider. - Interactive Conversational UI: Chat with the page content, ask follow-up questions in a clean, bubble-based chat interface right below your summary. - Text Customization: Supports custom system instructions to modify output language, depth, or formatting tone. - Per-Tab Persistence: Your summary and chat history are saved per-tab, so you can switch tabs or close the popup without losing your conversation. - Local Storage Architecture: Your API keys, themes, and configuration presets are saved strictly inside your local browser storage using the chrome.storage API.
