Description
Replace your new tab with a minimalist planner that highlights your daily focus, quick notes, and a clean digital clock. Opening a fresh browser tab is something you do dozens—sometimes hundreds—of times each day. Most of the time, that blank space does nothing more than remind you of yesterday’s browsing history. Planner – New Tab transforms that dead real estate into a lightweight personal command center that helps you focus, capture ideas, and keep your priorities front-and-center without ever leaving your browser. Instant Context Every Time You Open a Tab Instead of being greeted by a blank page or distracting news feed, you see a clear digital clock, today’s date, and your top focus item. That split-second reminder keeps your brain oriented and prevents the “What was I doing again?” pause that often follows an aimless tab open. Daily Focus Field to Reinforce Priorities A single, prominent Today’s Focus input sits at the top of the page. Type one objective—finish a proposal, call Mom, finalize a budget—and it persists across every new tab for that calendar day. The field resets at midnight, nudging you to think intentionally about tomorrow’s main goal instead of carrying yesterday’s clutter forward. Built-In Scratchpad for Ephemeral Notes We’ve all needed to jot down a quick number, link, or idea but hesitated to open a full-blown notes app. The integrated scratchpad accepts plain text, autosaves to the current browser session, and wipes itself when you close the browser —perfect for fleeting thoughts that shouldn’t live forever in a notebook. Zero-Noise, Minimalist Design The interface uses system fonts, soft grayscale tones, and ample whitespace. There are no animations, banners, or stock photos begging for attention—just the elements you actually need to stay on task. Planner – New Tab eliminates the need to context-switch by placing a mini-planner in the one place you already visit hundreds of times each day: a new tab. It combats tab-sprawl fatigue, reduces priority drift, and eliminates the cognitive load of wondering where you jotted that phone number twenty minutes ago. Please note this extension will change your new tab page.
