FetchFocus - A companion that helps you stay focused

Description

A friendly pup that nudges you back on track when you drift—detects doomscrolling and off-topic browsing. Stop chasing squirrels and start chasing goals. 🐿️🚫 Struggling to stay on task? Meet FetchFocus, the loyal browser extension that makes productivity feel approachable, not punishing. Instead of aggressively locking you out of the internet, FetchFocus uses a friendly dog persona to spot when you’re getting distracted and gently nudges you back to your "Focus Session." Powered by local Gemini Nano AI, FetchFocus understands the context of what you are reading without your data ever leaving your device. Whether you are doomscrolling, rapid-cycling tabs, or drifting down a rabbit hole, your companion is there to say: "Is there a treat down here? Let's get back to work!" ⚙️ (IMPORTANT) Enable AI Features To use the AI-powered content analysis, you must enable the built-in Chrome AI flags. Copy and paste these URLs into your address bar and set them to "Enabled": 1. chrome://flags/#prompt-api-for-gemini-nano 2. chrome://flags/#prompt-api-for-gemini-nano-multimodal-input 3. chrome://flags/#summarization-api-for-gemini-nano 🌟 Why Choose FetchFocus? 🧠 Smart, Privacy-First AI Unlike other blockers that ban keywords or urls, FetchFocus uses Google's Gemini Nano to analyze page content right in your browser. It intelligently tells the difference between "researching for your project" and "browsing random trivia," ensuring you stay focused without losing access to helpful resources. 100% Private: No data is sent to external servers. 🐕 The "Bad Habits" Detectors Your focus companion recognizes distinct distraction patterns and responds with context-aware nudges: 1. Doomscrolling Detection: scrolled too far? "My paws are tired... this feed is endless, but our time isn't!" 2. Content Drift (AI-Powered): Reading off-topic content? "Barking up the wrong tree? This doesn't look like our project." 3. The 10-Minute Rule: Abandoned your work tab? "Miss me? Your focus tab is getting lonely." 4. Blacklist Guard Dog: Visited a blocked site? A gentle full-screen warning asks if you really need to be there. 🎯 Core Features - Focus Sessions: Set a timer, add a goal description (e.g., "Write History Paper"), and let the AI keep you aligned with that specific topic. - Integrated Todo List: Create tasks directly in the popup and link them to your sessions. - Calendar Tracking: Automatically track your focus duration and completed tasks. 🔒 Privacy Promise Your privacy is our top priority. Local Processing: All AI analysis happens on your device using Gemini Nano. No Tracking: We do not track your browsing history or sell your data. Safe: Analyze content only when you want—AI features are opt-in. Ready to sit, stay, and focus? Adopt your productivity companion today! 🐾
