Adds a static color bar overlay that highlights elements of a page as you scroll. 🚀 ELEVATE YOUR READING EXPERIENCE WITH FOCUSBAR FocusBar is a premium, modern Chrome extension designed to help you maintain deep focus. By highlighting your current line or paragraph and elegantly dimming the rest of the page, FocusBar eliminates distractions and reduces eye strain. Whether you are proofreading code, studying long-form articles, or navigating dense spreadsheets, FocusBar provides a customizable "glassmorphic" overlay that moves with you. 🌟 KEY FEATURES (v2.1.0) • PER-SITE POSITION MEMORY: New! FocusBar now automatically remembers your last position and height for every domain. Return to any article or documentation page and pick up exactly where you left off. • FOCUS MODE & SLIT MODE: Dim the entire page to highlight only the bar area. Toggle "Slit Mode" to invert the colors, creating a physical-style reading ruler on your screen. • SCREENSHOT & FILE EXPORT: Capture focused areas instantly. Standard click copies to clipboard; Shift+Click triggers an automatic hardware-accelerated download of the capture as a PNG file. • HARDWARE-SYNCED AUTO-SCROLL: Experience buttery-smooth, hardware-accelerated scrolling. Using requestAnimationFrame, FocusBar matches your monitor's exact refresh rate for a jitter-free experience. • PROFILE PRESETS & RENAMING: Instantly swap between 3 saved configuration profiles. New: Click any profile label to rename it inline and stay organized. • SHADOW DOM ISOLATION: Our UI is securely injected into its own Shadow DOM. This ensures the toolbar never conflicts with a website's CSS—it looks perfect on every site. 🛠 GRANULAR CUSTOMIZATION • DUAL-EDGE RESIZING: Flexibly adjust your focus height by dragging either the top or bottom edge of the bar. • COLOR: Full HEX and Opacity control for your focus area. • SCROLL SPEED: Quadratic multiplier scaling with clickable numeric input override (0.10x to 5.0x). High-precision math flawlessly renders extremely slow reading speeds natively. • PREMIUM UX POLISH: Custom, high-contrast tooltips that never get clipped at screen edges and a new "hover-settle" delay that prevents accidental menu collapse during navigation. 📖 HOW TO USE 1. ACTIVATE: Click the extension icon or press Alt+Shift+F. 2. MOVE: Click and drag anywhere on the bar to position it. 3. RESIZE: Click and drag the top or bottom edge to change the focus height. 4. CUSTOMIZE: Hover over the bar to reveal the Glassmorphic FAB. Expand it to access all settings. 5. PROFILES: Click a slot to switch. Click the text label to rename your profile. 🔄 VERSION HISTORY v2.1.0: The "Power User" Update • Added Per-Site Memory for position/height persistence per domain. • Implemented Shift+Click for direct Screenshot-to-File export. • Added Top-Edge resizing handle. • Overhauled tooltips and hover logic for a premium, flicker-free experience. • Added inline profile renaming. v2.0.2: Smooth Sub-Pixel Scrolling • Bypassed OS-level fractional pixel limits to allow flawless auto-scrolling at incredibly slow speeds (0.10x). v2.0.1: Improved Slider Sensitivity • Quadratic scaling curve for auto-scroll speed and live numeric speed display. v2.0.0: Complete Architecture Rewrite • Migrated to Vite/ES Modules, Shadow DOM isolation, and Reading Slit Mode. 🔒 PRIVACY & SECURITY FocusBar runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your settings are synced securely using your own Google account's built-in storage.
