Description
Save any on-page video as a GIF or WebP. Trim the clip, preview, copy to clipboard, or download straight away. GIF ME turns any video on any web page into a GIF or WebP, right where you are watching. No uploads, no accounts, no watermarks. See a clip you want to keep, share, or drop into a doc or chat? Hover the player and click the GIF button, or right-click and choose "Save as GIF." Trim the exact moment you want, preview the result, then save or copy it. Everything happens in your browser. WHY YOU'LL WANT IT • One click, right where you are watching. No separate app, no copy-pasting URLs. • Trim before you convert. Set in and out points so you capture only the clip you need. • Preview before you save. Check the animation, then download or copy it to your clipboard. • GIF or WebP. Pick universal GIF, or WebP for much smaller files at similar quality. • Quality and size you control. From tiny files for slides and chat all the way up to crisp 1080p. • Small files by design. Smart color and frame optimization keep animations lightweight without looking cheap. • Private by default. Every file is created on your own device. Your video never gets uploaded to a server, and the extension collects no data about you. • Free. HOW IT WORKS Open any page with a video. Hover the player and click "GIF," or right-click and choose "Save as GIF." Set your in and out points, choose GIF or WebP, and click Create. Preview the result, then Save or Copy. Or skip straight to download if you prefer. PRESETS AND CONTROLS Pick a one-click preset to balance quality against file size: • Small file: smallest, perfect for slide decks and chat. • Balanced: the everyday default. • High quality: sharper, larger. • Max quality: full 1080p for when detail matters. Prefer to fine-tune? Adjust clip length, frame rate, width, and dithering. Choose GIF or WebP as your default output. Turn the hover button or the right-click menu on or off from the settings popup. GREAT FOR • Slide decks and presentations • Product demos, bug reports, and tutorials • Reactions and clips for chat and social • Review and feedback workflows on video sites • Saving a moment from a video without screen-recording software GOOD TO KNOW GIF ME captures standard on-page videos, including many modern streaming players. DRM-protected content (for example, paid streaming services like Netflix) cannot be captured. Very long or very large clips make big files, so for the smallest results keep durations short. The presets are tuned to help. Copy to clipboard works best where your app supports pasted images; otherwise you can always save the file. Install GIF ME and turn any video into a GIF or WebP in seconds.
