ChatNotion turns ChatGPT from a long list of chats into a workspace you can actually navigate — and lets you rewrite what ChatGPT told you into notes that are yours. THE PROBLEM Learning a new field, researching a topic, or planning a project never fits into one conversation. After a few weeks, the useful parts are scattered across dozens of chats with no structure connecting them. You can paste links into Notion or another notes app, but then your structure lives in one place and your conversations live in another, and keeping the two in sync becomes its own chore. WHAT CHATNOTION DOES ChatNotion adds the structure directly inside ChatGPT. Organize your chats Group conversations into folders nested at any depth. Drag to reorder, move items between parents, select several at once, and move or delete them in batches. Undo and Redo cover every change. Turn an answer into a knowledge tree Ask a broad question, then turn a structured answer into an explorable tree with one click. Expand one branch, jump to another, and open any node as a focused new conversation that carries its parent context with it. You are never locked into a linear path. Make the answers your own Every saved conversation opens as a single editable document. Rewrite it, highlight passages in seven colors, and attach inline notes wherever you need them. Your edits are stored locally as your own version — the original ChatGPT conversation is never modified or overwritten. Formulas stay readable LaTeX from ChatGPT is captured properly and typeset with KaTeX, so mathematical notation renders the way it should instead of collapsing into raw markup. Reusable prompt tools Save instructions you use often and apply them in one click. The built-in Tree mode helps ChatGPT produce cleaner, tree-shaped answers before you extract them. Your language The whole interface is available in English and Chinese. It requests only four things: • storage — keeps your tree, notes, and preferences on your device • alarms — runs optional scheduled local backups • unlimitedStorage — prevents Chrome's small extension quota from evicting your saved notes and conversation text • access to chatgpt.com — where the workspace is displayed It does not request your passwords, cookies, authentication tokens, browsing history, or access to any other website. You stay in control of your data: manual backups export a portable JSON file, and optional automatic backups write rotating snapshots to a local folder you choose yourself. Deleting a node in ChatNotion never deletes the ChatGPT conversation.
