Description
your browser's living memory, capturing sessions, extracting insights, and building a knowledge graph of your digital life Anamnesis is your browser's living memory. It captures sessions, extracts useful observations, and builds an evolving knowledge graph of your digital life, turning everyday browsing into context that is actually useful. Instead of leaving your history scattered across tabs, searches, and half-finished rabbit holes, Anamnesis helps shape it into memory that can be understood, revisited, and used. Proudly presented by the Phi Browser team, Anamnesis brings one of Phi Browser's core capabilities into a standalone extension you can start using today. It is designed as a simple way to begin building your personal browser memory now, while leaving the door open to a deeper, more integrated experience in Phi Browser. Anamnesis uses a language model because useful memory is more than raw browser history. The model helps understand sessions, extract meaningful observations, organise related context, and compact noisy browsing activity into memory that can actually help you later, rather than becoming yet another digital junk drawer. You can now choose how that model processing works. The easiest option is to create and sign in with a Phi account and use Phi Cloud. Anamnesis is ready to go as soon as you sign in, with no API key required. Phi Cloud provides the model infrastructure Anamnesis uses to understand, organise, and compact your memory over time. You can also bring your own API key and use a provider of your choice. In that mode, any cloud-based model interaction happens directly between you and your chosen API provider. Phinomenon does not sit in the middle of that relationship and does not provide proxy processing for your memory. You can switch between Phi Cloud and your own API key at any time. Use Phi Cloud if you want the simplest setup. Bring your own API key if you prefer direct control over which provider handles model processing, or if you already have your own AI infrastructure. Your memory stays under your control. You can view it, edit it, delete it, or export it whenever you like. That exported memory can be used with Phi Browser or with other AI tools and services, giving you genuine ownership over a layer of context that is deeply personal to you. When you use Phi Cloud, your memory data is processed securely through our infrastructure. We do not store your browser memory on our servers, and we do not use it to train models. When you bring your own API key, model interaction happens between you and your chosen provider. Whichever option you choose, Anamnesis is designed so that your browser memory remains yours. ********************************** Version history: v1.1.0 - Added support for using Phi Cloud as LLM provider to process memory (token usage is on the house, at least for now) - Stability and performance optimizations overall. v1.0.5 - Introduced the Widget Panel: a dockable artifact panel that surfaces AI-generated widgets personalized from your memory, pinnable on the new tab - Polished the Memory Galaxy with a refreshed graph visualization for clearer entities and relationships at a glance - Refreshed UI themes to align with the Phi browser, now with full light and dark mode support v1.0.4 - Further reduced memory processing cost and latency with capped LLM context and minimal reasoning effort - Slimmer recall tool context for faster, more relevant memory lookup in chat - Simplified the Memory timeline by removing the site-tag filter row and redundant tag chips v1.0.3: - Added LLM budget controls to cap memory processing costs - Further optimized memory processing for better performance & lower cost - Fixed new tab search suggestions to always include Google search and memory recall v1.0.2: - Overall optimization for smarter & more efficient memory processing - Added support for memory import & export - Added "Insight Panel" for more detailed view - Added "Galaxy Explorer Tree" for better overview in the Memory Galaxy ********************************** If you enjoy Anamnesis and want to do more with your browser memory, Phi Browser is where that memory becomes truly useful.
