A clean, distraction-free Pomodoro timer with focus analytics and site blocking. 🍅 THE POMODORO TIMER THAT GETS OUT OF YOUR WAY Pomo is a minimalist Pomodoro timer built for people who want to focus — not fiddle with settings. One click starts your 25-minute focus session. When it ends, Pomo notifies you and moves you to a break. That's it. No accounts required. No ads. No bloat. ───────────────────────────────────── ⚡ WHAT IS THE POMODORO TECHNIQUE? ───────────────────────────────────── The Pomodoro Technique is a proven time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo. You work in focused 25-minute sprints (called Pomodoros), separated by short 5-minute breaks. After four Pomodoros, you take a longer 15-minute break to recharge. Studies show that working in timed intervals reduces mental fatigue, eliminates procrastination, and helps you get deep work done faster. Pomo makes this effortless directly in your browser. ───────────────────────────────────── ✅ FREE FEATURES — ALWAYS FREE ───────────────────────────────────── Pomodoro timer — standard 25 / 5 / 15 minute cycles Live countdown badge on your Chrome toolbar — see time remaining at a glance without opening the extension Desktop notifications — get alerted the moment each session ends Session counter — track how many Pomodoros you've completed today Cycle dots — see your progress toward your next long break Sound alerts — a subtle bell when each phase ends (can be muted) Auto-start breaks — optional seamless cycling between work and rest Phase tabs — instantly switch between Focus, Short Break, and Long Break Works offline — no internet connection required for the timer ───────────────────────────────────── 🔓 POMO PRO — FOR SERIOUS DEEP WORKERS ───────────────────────────────────── Custom timer durations — set any work and break length that suits your flow Task labelling — tag each session to a task or project so you know exactly where your time went 7-day focus chart — a visual bar chart of your Pomodoros across the past week Sound packs — choose from Bell, Chime, Digital, or Soft alert sounds Site blocker — automatically block distracting websites (Reddit, Twitter, YouTube) during focus sessions Dark mode & themes — switch between Minimal, Dark, and High Contrast UI ───────────────────────────────────── ⚡ POMO POWER — TEAMS & INTEGRATIONS ───────────────────────────────────── Cross-device sync — carry your sessions and settings between devices Calendar integration — block focus time directly in Google Calendar or Outlook Todoist & Notion sync — pull tasks in, push completed sessions back CSV & JSON export — download your full session history for analysis Webhook & Zapier support — trigger automations when sessions start or end Team dashboard — shared focus visibility for remote teams ───────────────────────────────────── 🎯 WHO IS POMO FOR? ───────────────────────────────────── Students studying for exams who need structured focus sessions Remote workers and freelancers fighting distraction at home Developers, writers, and designers doing deep work Anyone using productivity methods like time blocking, GTD, or deep work People with ADHD who benefit from short, structured work intervals Teams who want shared focus accountability ───────────────────────────────────── 🔒 PRIVACY FIRST ───────────────────────────────────── Pomo stores all your timer data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage. Yes. The timer runs entirely in your browser and does not require an internet connection. Does Pomo slow down my browser? No. Pomo uses Chrome's native Alarms API which fires a single event at the end of each phase — it does not run a background loop or consume CPU while timing. Can I change the timer length? Yes, with Pomo Pro. Free users get the standard 25/5/15 Pomodoro method which is optimal for most people. Does the site blocker affect all browsers? The site blocker works within Chrome only and is active during focus sessions. It does not affect other browsers on your device. Is there a free trial for Pro? You can use all free features forever with no time limit. Pro is a monthly subscription — cancel any time. ───────────────────────────────────── 🍅 WHY POMO OVER OTHER POMODORO EXTENSIONS? ───────────────────────────────────── Most Pomodoro extensions are either too basic (just a timer, nothing else) or too bloated (accounts, social features, gamification you never use). Pomo sits in the middle: a genuinely beautiful, fast, and reliable timer with the power features unlocked only when you need them. The free tier is not crippled — it is a complete, fully functional Pomodoro timer that thousands of people use every day without ever upgrading.
