Hide YouTube's related videos, Shorts, thumbnails, comments, and new-video badges so you stop getting hooked. Unbait removes the parts of YouTube that pull you into the next click, so you watch what you came for and then leave. Every feature is a toggle, and your choices are saved locally in your browser — nothing is ever sent anywhere. WHAT IT HIDES • Related videos — remove the right-hand suggestions column on the watch page. • Theater mode when hidden — when related videos are hidden, switch the player to theater mode so the video uses the freed space. • Shorts — remove Shorts shelves, reels, and navigation across YouTube, including the Shorts grid and lockups on the search-results page. • Home thumbnails — blank out video thumbnails in the home feed (the subscriptions feed keeps its thumbnails). • Compact home list — rebuild the home feed as a tidy list with small thumbnails instead of big clickbait cards. • Compact subscriptions list — the same tidy list layout for the subscriptions feed, as a separate toggle. • Comments — hide the comments section on the watch page. • Notifications button — remove the bell button in the top-right corner of the masthead. • New-video badges — remove the blue "new content" dots on subscription channels in the guide. • More from YouTube: hide the "More from YouTube" section (YouTube Music, Kids) in the left sidebar. • Feed chips — hide the filter chips you uncheck in the row above the home feed (the "All / News / Gaming" bar). TIDY SUBSCRIPTIONS On the subscriptions page, Unbait can suggest channels worth unsubscribing from — the ones you are subscribed to but have not watched in the last two weeks. It tracks engagement only on your device and never unsubscribes for you; it just links to YouTube's own subscription manager. KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS Bind a shortcut to each filter and toggle it on the fly while you browse YouTube. LANGUAGE Switch the interface between English and Korean, or follow your browser. PRIVACY Unbait requests only the "storage" permission, used to remember your settings on this device. It makes no network requests, contains no analytics, and collects no data.
