Every suggestion carries one plain sentence explaining why, so you spend your subscription on purpose instead of guessing. What it does: • Names the model and the effort level as two separate decisions, because they are. A writing task often wants a capable model at low effort, while a problem with many steps wants more effort rather than a bigger model. • Explains every suggestion in one plain sentence, so you learn the lineup instead of memorizing it. • Respects your plan. The badge only recommends models your plan includes, and tells you when a stronger one would have suited the task but is not available to you. • Warns you before an expensive read. Long prompts, long conversations, and heavier models earn a quota note in plain words, with the reason it applies. • Stays out of your way. Drag the badge anywhere and it remembers the spot, pin it or mute it for one conversation, shrink it to a compact pill, or let it fade while you read. Private by structure. The extension asks for one permission, storage, and contains no network code path at all: nothing you type is stored, and nothing ever leaves your browser. It is read only on the page: it never clicks, sends, or edits anything, and it adds one badge and nothing else. At install, Chrome will say the extension can read and change your data on claude.ai.
