PugTimer — Focus Timer for Work & Study

Description

A cute focus timer with a pug that levels up as you work or study. Keep your streak and grow from Newbie to Legendary. PugTimer is a cute Pomodoro timer app for Chrome with a pug companion that levels up as you focus. You already know the Pomodoro technique: 25 minutes on, 5 off. You've probably tried a tomato timer site or two. What none of them give you is a reason to still be running sessions on day three, once the novelty wears off. Nothing notices whether you finish. So eventually you stop starting. PugTimer's answer is a pug. Finishing focus sessions unlocks achievements, achievements pay XP, and XP walks your pug through six evolution stages. Miss a day and your streak resets. It is harder to blow off a timer that keeps score. FOCUS TIMER, RELIABLE IN THE BACKGROUND • Focus, short break, and long break modes: focus 15–60 minutes, short breaks 3–15, long breaks 10–30 • Sessions complete on time even with the popup closed: timing runs on Chrome's alarm system, not a ticking webpage • The toolbar badge counts down the minutes remaining and flips to a pause mark when you pause • Alt+Shift+P starts, pauses, and resumes the timer from any tab • Right-click any page and choose "Start Focus Session" to begin without opening the popup A PUG THAT KEEPS SCORE • 11 achievements, from First Steps (one session) to Centurion (a 100-day streak) • Each unlock pays XP that levels your pug: Newbie Pug, Focused Friend, Consistent Companion, Zen Master Pug, Productivity Master, Legendary Companion • Today's session count and current streak in the popup, counted in your local timezone HEAR THE SESSION END INSTEAD OF WATCHING FOR IT • 9 completion chimes with volume control, or mute them entirely • A desktop notification when the focus or break timer ends, with one-click Start break and Start focus buttons • Light and dark themes PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Makes zero network requests (verify it yourself in DevTools) • No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads • Settings, streaks, and pug progress are stored only on your device WHO IT'S FOR • If you're studying for finals, it's a study timer with stakes: the streak turns "study every day" from an intention into a chain you can see • If you live in a browser for work, the badge countdown and Alt+Shift+P keep the timer out of your way • If you've installed and abandoned pomodoro timers before, this one grows a pug. Quitting has a face now Install PugTimer, finish one 25-minute focus session, and unlock First Steps — your pug's first XP. The streak starts today.
