WA AI Reply for WhatsApp™ Web - Private On-device AI

Description

AI reply suggestions for WhatsApp Web, powered by a local model on your device. 100% private, free and unlimited. Staring at a message, typing a reply, deleting it, typing again. If you handle customer chats on WhatsApp Web - store inquiries, supplier negotiations, client follow-ups - you write hundreds of replies a day. Most of them are variations of the same twenty messages. And when the conversation is in your second language, every reply takes twice as long and still feels slightly off. Reply fatigue is real. It slows your response time, and slow responses lose sales. There is a faster way to do this. WHY AI REPLY TOOLS HAVE NOT SOLVED IT AI writing assistants exist, but the ones built for chat all share the same problems: - They send your conversations to cloud servers. Customer negotiations, prices, personal messages - everything gets uploaded to someone else's computer. - They need an account, an API key, or a monthly subscription before you can generate a single sentence. - They live outside the chat. You copy the conversation out, paste the reply back in, and lose the flow you were trying to speed up. Most people try one, feel uneasy about where their chats are going, and quit. This extension takes a different approach: the AI runs inside your browser, on your hardware, and never talks to a server. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES WA AI Reply adds a reply suggestion button directly inside WhatsApp Web. One click reads the recent conversation and offers three ready-to-send replies. Click the one you like and it lands in the message box, ready to edit or send. The AI is a compact open-source language model (SmolLM2, about 300 MB) that runs locally through WebGPU - the same technology games use to access your graphics card from the browser. No account. No API key. No subscription. No message ever leaves your computer. Here is what you get: AI Reply button - a small button near the message box in every chat. Click it and three suggested replies appear in a panel. Context-aware suggestions - the AI reads the last few messages of the conversation, so suggestions actually fit what was said, not generic canned phrases. Three reply styles - Casual for friends, Professional for clients, Friendly for everyone in between. Switch anytime in settings. Reply language - suggestions can be generated in more than 20 languages, independent of what language the conversation is in. One-click insert - click a suggestion and it fills the message box. You can edit before sending; nothing is ever sent automatically. Regenerate - not happy with the three options? One click gets you three new ones. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install the extension and click its icon 2. Click Download to fetch the AI model - a one-time 300 MB download with a progress bar 3. Open web.whatsapp.com and open any chat 4. Click the AI Reply button near the message box 5. Pick a suggestion, edit if needed, send After the one-time download, suggestions generate in a few seconds and work without any per-message network requests. WHY ON-DEVICE AI MATTERS Every cloud AI assistant works the same way: your conversation is uploaded, processed on a server, and the reply comes back. For personal chats that is a privacy problem. For business chats - prices, terms, customer data - it can be a real liability. Running the model locally changes everything: - Private: the conversation is read inside your browser and stays there - Free: no server bills means nothing to charge you for - Unlimited: generate ten replies or a thousand, there is no quota - Yours: the model runs on your graphics card, not in someone's data center ABOUT THE MODEL DOWNLOAD The first time you use the extension, it downloads the open-source SmolLM2 model (about 300 MB) from the HuggingFace model hub, with an automatic mirror fallback for regions where HuggingFace is unreachable. This is a data download, like downloading an offline map. The model is cached by your browser, so it only happens once. REAL SCENARIOS WHERE THIS HELPS Store owner at peak hours: Twelve customers asking about sizes, shipping, and returns at the same time. Each AI suggestion gets you eighty percent of the way; you tweak a word and send. Response time drops from minutes to seconds. Second-language seller: Your customers write in English, and composing polished English replies takes effort. Set the style to Professional and the suggestions come out clean, natural, and ready to send. Freelancer managing clients: A client asks about timelines while you are deep in work. One click, one suggestion, one small edit - the client gets a professional answer and you get back to work. Keeping up with group chats: The family group produced forty messages during your meeting. Open the chat, tap AI Reply, and respond naturally without reading everything twice. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - It does not send, collect, store, or transmit your conversations anywhere. Reply generation happens inside your browser. - It does not send messages by itself. Suggestions only fill the message box; you always press send. - It does not extract contacts, export chats, or scrape any data. - It does not hook into WhatsApp's internal code. It reads only the messages already visible on your screen. The only permissions it uses: - storage - saves your style and language preferences - access to web.whatsapp.com - shows the reply button and suggestion panel inside the chat Network access is used exclusively for the one-time model download from HuggingFace. There is no analytics, no tracking, and no other network traffic. FREE AND UNLIMITED The extension is free with no usage limits. Because the AI runs on your own hardware, there are no per-message costs behind it. REQUIREMENTS A desktop browser with WebGPU support (Chrome 113 or newer) and roughly 500 MB of free disk space for the model cache. Works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. No browser flags or special settings needed. WHO THIS IS FOR - Sellers and support teams answering repetitive questions on WhatsApp all day - People chatting in a second language who want natural-sounding replies - Freelancers and consultants who need fast, professional responses - Anyone tired of typing the same twenty messages every week GETTING STARTED Install, download the model once, open WhatsApp Web, and click AI Reply. Your first suggestion is seconds away. No account needed. No sign-up. No credit card. Just faster replies. --- WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.
