Track exchange rates and get notified when it's a good time to transfer money. **Tired of guessing whether now is a good time to transfer money?** If you freelance internationally, live abroad, or get paid in a different currency, you already know the frustration. Exchange rates move every day, and the difference between a good rate and a bad one can cost you hundreds over a year. But who has time to check rates constantly? GoodRate sits quietly in your browser and does one thing well: it watches exchange rates for you and tells you when they hit your target. **No spreadsheets. No forex jargon. Just a simple answer to "is now a good time to send money?"** **What GoodRate Does** - Set a target rate for any currency pair (USD/EUR, GBP/JPY, etc.) and get a browser notification the moment it hits - See a 30-day sparkline chart right in the popup, so you can tell at a glance whether rates are trending up or down - A clear "X% above/below 30-day average" label tells you instantly how today's rate compares to recent history - Lightweight popup -- check current rates in one click without leaving your tab **Who Is This For?** - Freelancers invoicing in one currency and spending in another - Expats sending money home (or receiving it) - Remote workers paid in USD, EUR, GBP, or other foreign currencies - Digital nomads managing money across borders - Anyone who makes regular international transfers and wants to stop leaving money on the table **Free vs Pro** GoodRate is free to get started -- no sign-up, no credit card. Free plan: - 2 currency pairs - 3 rate alerts - 30-day sparkline charts - "Above/below average" context labels - All core features included Pro plan ($3/month): - Unlimited currency pairs - Unlimited rate alerts - Everything in Free Most people only track one or two pairs, so the free plan covers a lot of ground. Pro is there if you need more. **Reliable Data You Can Trust** GoodRate pulls exchange rates from the Frankfurter API, which sources its data from the European Central Bank (ECB). The ECB publishes reference rates for 30+ currencies every working day. This is the same data used by banks and financial institutions across Europe -- not some random third-party feed. **Your Privacy** GoodRate stores your settings and alerts locally in your browser. Your data stays on your device. There are no analytics trackers, no account required for the free plan, and no data sold to third parties. The only network requests the extension makes are to fetch exchange rate data. **Permissions Explained** GoodRate requests only the permissions it needs to function: - Alarms: to check rates on a schedule - Notifications: to alert you when a target rate is hit - Storage: to save your currency pairs and alert settings **Getting Started** 1. Install GoodRate 2. Click the extension icon to open the popup 3. Pick your currency pair (e.g., USD to EUR) 4. Set a target rate and enable the alert 5.
