Description
Search your bookmarks instantly using memorable keywords. Auto-extracts keywords from titles, URLs, and page content. Find any bookmark — or open tab — instantly with natural language search. Quick-save with highlights, reading list, visual snapshots & auto-categories. Stop Losing Your Bookmarks (and Your Tabs). Recall transforms your chaotic bookmark library into a smart, visual memory bank. Instead of remembering exact keywords or folder paths, just type what you're thinking. And now it reaches beyond bookmarks — search and tame your open tabs, too. 🗂️ NEW: Open Tabs Mode Drowning in open tabs? Recall manages them now too. Flip the toggle at the top of the popup to switch from Bookmarks to Open Tabs. Search every open tab by title or URL — across all your windows Jump straight to any tab, or close it, without leaving the popup Your native tab groups, organized — collapse them or close a whole group in one click One-click duplicate cleanup with a preview that shows exactly which tabs will close before you confirm — it keeps the tab you're using and never closes pinned tabs Your current tab is clearly marked and protected, so you never close it by accident 🧠 Smart Natural Language Search Forget standard keyword matching. Recall understands context — including time. Type "article about machine learning from last week" Type "that recipe with the avocado sauce" Type "bookmarks saved today" or "saved this month" Recall finds the right page instantly, even if the words don't match exactly. ⚡ Quick Save & Highlight Capture One-click Quick Save button bookmarks the current page instantly. Select text before saving to capture a highlight snippet alongside your bookmark. Toast notification confirms the save with auto-assigned category. Shift+click to save & add to your Reading List in one step. 📖 Reading List & Smart Dashboard Flag any bookmark as Read Later to build your reading queue. Open the extension to instantly access your Reading List, Recently Visited bookmarks, and your entire feed chronologically. Toggle "Read Later" or "Mark as Read" seamlessly without the extension closing or losing your scroll position. 📸 Visual Memory Snapshots Recall automatically captures visual snapshots of your pages. Browse your bookmarks visually — perfect for designers, developers, and visual thinkers who recognize pages by how they look, not just their title. 📊 Weekly Insights A compact insights bar shows your bookmark habits: how many you saved this week, your top category, and your consecutive-week save streak. Small nudge, big motivation. ⌨️ Keyboard Shortcut Press Cmd+Shift+S (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+S (Windows/Linux) to instantly open Recall from any page. Customizable via chrome://extensions/shortcuts. 🔧 Powerful Features: Auto-Categorization: AI automatically tags and organizes your links into categories. Notes & Descriptions: Add personal notes (highlighted in yellow) and custom descriptions. Custom Tags: Fine-grained organization with comma-separated tags. Dead Link Detector: One-click scan to find and clean up broken (404) links. Duplicate Finder: Identify and merge duplicate bookmarks to keep your library clean. Full Export/Import: Export everything — categories, tags, notes, highlights, snapshots, and reading list status. Nothing is lost. Privacy First: All processing happens locally on your device. Your data never leaves your browser. Why Recall? Standard browser bookmark managers haven't changed in 20 years. Recall brings modern search technology, visual organization, and smart productivity features to the tools you use every day — and now helps you wrangle your open tabs, not just your saved ones. Version 2.4.0 — What's New: 🗂️ Open Tabs Mode: Search, jump to, and close your open tabs right from Recall, with a segmented Bookmarks/Open Tabs toggle and native tab-group support. 🧹 Reviewable Duplicate Cleanup: Close duplicate tabs in one click — but preview exactly which tabs will close first. Keeps the tab you're using; never closes pinned tabs. 🛡️ Safer by Design: Your current tab is clearly marked and protected, and group/duplicate actions show honest counts (e.g. "Close 2 tabs," not "all") so there are no surprises. 🔒 Still 100% Local & Private: Everything stays in your browser. ℹ️ Note: This update adds the "tabGroups" permission so Recall can display your native tab groups. Chrome may ask you to re-enable Recall once after it updates.
