AREX Reader is a quiet reading companion that stays with the content you are already viewing. Use AREX Reader to: - Ask questions about a webpage and continue a source-grounded conversation without leaving the page. - Explain or translate selected text in place. - Generate structured overviews of YouTube and Bilibili videos, then return to notable moments from the timeline. - Review the background, methods, contributions, and limitations of arXiv papers. - Work in a compact floating window or Chrome's side panel. - Follow your browser language or choose English or Simplified Chinese in Settings. AREX Reader displays a restrained on-page launcher so its reading tools are available when needed. Simply browsing a regular webpage does not automatically upload its page body. The extension sends the page URL, title, content, selected passage, or source identifier needed for a feature only when you deliberately ask a question, request an explanation or translation, or generate an overview. You can hide AREX on the current page or disable its on-page surfaces for specific sites in Settings. Requires Chrome 116 or later and an AREX account. Generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be checked against the original source.
