Description
Drag-select any area on a webpage, capture a screenshot, and get a shareable URL. By Digital Leap. Snap & Share — Capture, Upload, and Share Any Part of a Webpage in Seconds Stop the screenshot-save-attach-send loop. Snap & Share is a lightweight Chrome extension that lets you drag-select any region of a webpage, captures it as a high-quality PNG, and gives you an instant public URL you can paste anywhere. No more digging through your Downloads folder. No more compressing images for chat. Just snip, share, and move on. Whether you're a designer leaving feedback on a client's site, a developer filing a bug with a precise visual, a marketer flagging a typo to your team, or a support agent walking a customer through a step — Snap & Share removes every friction between "I see something" and "here, look at this." ═══════════════════════════════ HOW IT WORKS — THREE STEPS ═══════════════════════════════ Click the Snap & Share icon in your Chrome toolbar. The page dims and your cursor becomes a crosshair. Drag a selection over the area you want to capture. A magenta dashed marquee shows exactly what will be saved. Release the mouse to capture. Press Esc anytime to cancel. A preview tab opens with your screenshot and three actions: • Copy image — instantly paste it into Slack, email, Notion, anywhere. • Download PNG — save a local file. • Upload & get URL — receive a public shareable link in seconds. That's it. No accounts, no signups, no setup required. ═══════════════════════════════ WHY YOU'LL ACTUALLY USE IT ═══════════════════════════════ • ONE-CLICK SHARE LINKS — The killer feature. Get a real, public URL you can paste into any chat, ticket, email, or social post. The recipient just clicks and sees your screenshot — no attachments, no file size limits, no "can you re-send that, it didn't come through." • PIXEL-PRECISE SELECTION — Grab exactly the area you care about. No more cropping in Preview or Photoshop. No more "scroll up a little, no the other thing, yes that one." • ZERO SETUP — Install and use. No account creation, no API keys, no configuration. The default upload destination works out of the box. • YOUR CHOICE OF HOST — Built-in support for three upload destinations: catbox.moe (default) — anonymous, permanent, no key required 0x0.st — anonymous, no key required ImgBB — tied to your free ImgBB account if you want your uploads in one place Switch destinations any time in Settings. • FAST AND LIGHTWEIGHT — No bloat, no analytics, no telemetry. The extension does one thing very well. • KEYBOARD-FRIENDLY — Press Esc during selection to cancel. Clipboard copy works with one click in the preview tab. ═══════════════════════════════ WHO IT'S FOR ═══════════════════════════════ • PRODUCT TEAMS sharing visual feedback during design reviews. • DEVELOPERS attaching precise visuals to bug reports, Jira tickets, and PR comments. • DESIGNERS marking up specific UI elements without exporting layered files. • MARKETERS pointing out copy errors, layout issues, or competitor moves. • SUPPORT AGENTS walking customers through "click here, then here." • EDUCATORS AND WRITERS clipping references for articles, lessons, or social posts. • ANYONE who's ever opened the screenshot tool, saved a file, opened a chat, attached the file, written "see attached," and wondered if there was a better way. There is. This is it. ═══════════════════════════════ USE CASES IN PRACTICE ═══════════════════════════════ • "Hey, this CTA looks broken on Safari" — capture the button, get a link, paste in Slack. 10 seconds total. • "Client wants this section moved" — snip the section, drop the URL in the project doc, done. • "Filing a bug — here's the error state" — capture the toast notification, attach the URL to the Jira ticket. • "Look at this competitor pricing page" — quick share with the team without sending PDFs around. • "Showing my team the analytics spike" — grab the chart from your dashboard, drop the link in the daily standup channel. ═══════════════════════════════ PRIVACY & WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ═══════════════════════════════ Honest disclosure — this matters: • We do NOT collect any data. No tracking. No analytics. No accounts. Your captures stay on your device until you click "Upload." • When you upload, your image is sent to the host you selected (catbox.moe by default). Anyone with the URL can view that image — that's how public sharing works. • Don't upload anything sensitive, personal, or confidential to anonymous hosts. If you need private sharing, use a service like Google Drive or Dropbox instead. • catbox.moe stores uploads anonymously and permanently. 0x0.st storage time depends on file size. ImgBB ties uploads to your account. • The extension requests the "activeTab" permission — it only sees the tab you're currently on when you click the icon. It does NOT read your browsing history or other tabs. ═══════════════════════════════ WHAT IT DOESN'T DO (YET) ═══════════════════════════════ We're upfront about limitations: • Snap & Share captures the visible viewport only. Full-page scrolling capture isn't supported in this version. • It doesn't run on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, the PDF viewer, or other internal pages — Chrome blocks all extensions from those contexts. • No built-in annotation tools (arrows, text, blur). If you need those, capture with Snap & Share and edit in your favorite image editor before sharing. ═══════════════════════════════ ABOUT THE MAKER — DIGITAL LEAP ═══════════════════════════════ Snap & Share is developed by Digital Leap, a digital marketing agency focused on SEO, content, and performance marketing. We built this because our own team kept hitting the same friction every day — screenshots for client feedback, bug captures, competitive research, internal reviews. We wanted something that turned "see this thing" into a shareable link in literally one drag. We made it for ourselves, and now we're sharing it with you. Learn more at digitalleapmarketing.com. ═══════════════════════════════ GET STARTED ═══════════════════════════════ Install the extension. Pin it to your toolbar so the icon is always visible (Chrome puzzle-piece menu → pin Snap & Share). Open any normal webpage. Click the icon, drag to capture, hit Upload & Share. That's the entire workflow. The first time you use it, you'll wonder why your browser didn't ship with this built in. If you find Snap & Share useful, please leave a review — it genuinely helps other people discover it. Feedback and feature requests are welcome via the support link in the Chrome Web Store listing. Snap. Share. Done. — Built with care by Digital Leap.
