Purpose: The extension lets users (1) summarize the article they are reading in the Side Panel, (2) explain highlighted text on demand, and (3) configure monitored news sources and scheduled Morning Email Briefs (Pro) that are delivered via our backend API — even when the browser is closed. Why users should install it: Traders often open many sites (Seeking Alpha, Yahoo Finance, Reuters, etc.) before the market opens. AlphaBrief replaces manual scrolling with one-click AI summaries and optional inbox briefs on a schedule the user chooses. Page content is only read when the user clicks Summarize or Explain — never collected automatically in the background. Host access to HTTPS sites is required solely to extract article text or selections on pages the user is actively reading when they trigger those actions.
