Capture articles and source-backed highlights, then retrieve and export them from your Sigilla research library. Sigilla is a research web clipper for people who read in order to write, analyze, learn, or build something later: save article, highlight evidence, and cite later. Capture useful articles, PDFs, newsletters, documentation, YouTube links, Reddit threads, and selected passages without breaking your browsing flow. Each save enters your private Sigilla source library, where you can decide what deserves attention, read without clutter, preserve highlights with source context, retrieve the right passage later, and export clean Markdown material into tools such as Obsidian, Notion, Logseq, or your editor. The extension is the capture layer. The Sigilla web app handles the deeper workflow: Save the current source in a few seconds Triage it as Read Soon, Maybe Later, or Archive Capture selected text as a source-linked highlight Add an optional note while the context is fresh Create Citation Packs, Research Briefs, and Markdown exports when the source becomes useful Preserve readable text from many JavaScript-heavy pages Queue saves offline and sync them when the connection returns Open the source in Sigilla to read, search, review, and export What you can capture: Articles and long-form web pages PDFs and research papers Tutorials and technical documentation Newsletters and RSS sources YouTube links Reddit posts and useful thread context Selected passages with optional notes Why Sigilla is different: Bookmark tools are strongest at storing links. Sigilla is built for the material inside those links. It keeps the useful passage attached to its title, URL, notes, and surrounding source context so it can become evidence for a draft, brief, decision, or research note. Privacy and data handling: Sigilla processes the current page only when you explicitly save a source or selected passage It does not collect your general browsing history Authentication state and pending offline saves are stored locally in the browser Chosen source data is transmitted over HTTPS to your own Sigilla account Sigilla does not sell personal data or use saved content for advertising Limited first-party product telemetry is used for reliability, security, and product improvement as described in the privacy policy You can export your library and delete your account from the Sigilla web app Create a free account and connect the extension at https://www.sigilla.net Privacy Practices Single Purpose Description Capture user-selected web sources and passages into the user's authenticated Sigilla source library for later reading, retrieval, annotation, and export. Permission Justifications storage Stores the user's Sigilla authentication state, configured service URLs, extension preferences, and an offline save queue locally in Chrome. activeTab Allows the extension to read the currently active page after the user explicitly opens the extension or invokes the save-highlight command. It is not used for background browsing-history collection. tabs Reads the active tab's URL and title for user-triggered saving and opens Sigilla pages such as sign-in, the saved item, or the dashboard. scripting Injects the bundled capture script into the active tab after a user action so Sigilla can extract visible readable text or the current text selection. No remotely hosted code is executed. alarms Schedules retries for saves that the user initiated while offline or during a temporary network failure. Host access: sigilla.net and www.sigilla.net Connects the extension to the Sigilla web app, receives the user's authenticated extension connection, and opens saved sources in the user's account. Host access: Sigilla Supabase project Sends user-triggered saves to the authenticated Sigilla backend and refreshes the user's extension connection. Access is limited to Sigilla's specific Supabase project host. Remote Code No. The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly. All executable extension code is included in the submitted package. Data Types to Disclose The dashboard selections must match the exact wording available in Chrome Web Store at publication time. Based on current extension behavior, disclose at least: Authentication information: the Sigilla access token used to authenticate the user's own requests Website content: visible page text or selected text that the user explicitly chooses to save Web history / browsing activity: the URL and title of the current page only when the user explicitly saves it; clearly state that general browsing history is not collected User-generated content: notes, tags, triage choices, and selected passages entered by the user Do not claim that the extension handles no user data. Limited Use Certification The extension uses collected data only to provide or improve its single user-facing purpose: capturing selected sources and passages into the user's Sigilla library. Data is not sold, used for personalized advertising, or transferred for creditworthiness or lending purposes. Human access is limited to cases permitted by the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, such as explicit user support consent, security investigation, legal obligations, or aggregated and anonymized internal operations.
