Capture screenshots, extract text locally with OCR, record browser workflows, and send context to AI assistants. PromptLens helps you capture visual information from webpages and turn it into useful context for AI-assisted workflows. Capture a region of the current webpage, extract text locally with OCR, record a browser tab when needed, and review recent captures from the extension popup. KEY FEATURES Screen Capture Select a specific region of a webpage and capture only the content you need. This is useful for non-selectable text, code, error messages, diagrams, dashboards, documentation, and other visual content. Local OCR Extract text from a selected screen region using the bundled Tesseract WebAssembly engine. OCR processing runs locally inside the browser rather than through a PromptLens server. AI Context Routing PromptLens can identify supported AI assistant tabs and lets you explicitly choose where captured text or visual context should be sent. Supported destinations include ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity. Browser Tab Recording Record the active browser tab when you need to document a workflow, demonstrate a problem, or capture a sequence of browser interactions. Chrome's native permission is requested when recording is started. Recent Captures Review recent OCR results and screen captures from the extension popup. Depending on the capture type, you can copy, download, or send content again. Keyboard Shortcuts Alt + S — Select a region for screen capture Alt + O — Select a region for OCR PRIVACY PromptLens performs OCR processing locally using bundled WebAssembly components. It does not operate a PromptLens backend for OCR or analytics. Screen content is processed when you invoke a capture or OCR workflow. Captured context is sent to a selected third-party AI service only when you explicitly choose that destination and initiate the routing action. PromptLens does not use analytics or advertising tracking.
