Privacy Screen Guard helps reduce accidental exposure of sensitive information during screenshots, presentations, recordings, and screen sharing. After one clear approval, Live Privacy automatically masks sensitive-looking information directly inside regular webpages. All processing happens locally in your browser. Privacy Screen Guard can detect and mask: • Email addresses and phone numbers • Payment-card-like numbers validated with Luhn checks • Tokens, API keys, and secret-like strings • Bank accounts and validated IBANs • Government, tax, passport, and licence identifiers • Dates of birth and postal addresses • IP addresses and cryptocurrency wallets • One-time and verification codes • Geographic coordinates and sensitive URLs • Medical, membership, and vehicle identifiers You can choose solid, blur, or dots masking, control mask length, protect form fields, select a custom mask color, apply task-specific presets, temporarily reveal content, manually hide an area, and save a protected visible-tab image locally. Website access is optional and user controlled. Protection can be paused for individual websites or removed completely from Settings. Privacy Screen Guard does not upload page text, form values, detected information, screenshots, telemetry, or analytics. It contains no advertising or remote processing. This extension is a visual privacy aid rather than a guarantee. Images, video, canvas content, browser controls, Chrome internal pages, inaccessible frames, closed Shadow DOM, and some complex page structures may remain visible. Always review the page before sharing.
