GroupSync: Export WhatsApp Group Contacts to CSV, Excel, vCard

Description

Export WhatsApp group member lists to CSV, Excel, or vCard. GroupSync — Export WhatsApp Group Contacts to CSV, Excel & vCard in One Click Stop copying phone numbers one by one. GroupSync turns any WhatsApp Web group member list into a clean, ready-to-use contact file in seconds — names and phone numbers, properly formatted, downloaded straight to your computer. Scanning is completely free. You pay once for a group, and that group stays unlocked for 24 hours — every format, as many downloads as you need. ════════════════════════ WHY GROUPSYNC EXISTS If you run a business, a community, a coaching class, a housing society, an alumni network, or any WhatsApp group with more than twenty people, you have almost certainly faced this problem: You need those contacts outside WhatsApp — in a spreadsheet, in your CRM, in your phone's address book — and WhatsApp gives you no way to get them there. Your only option is to open the member list, tap each person, note the number, and repeat. For a 250-member group that is roughly two hours of work, and you will still make mistakes. GroupSync does the entire job in under thirty seconds. Open the group in WhatsApp Web, click the extension, and every member's name and phone number is extracted, counted, and previewed instantly. Then choose your format — CSV, Excel, or vCard — and download. ════════════════════════ WHAT GROUPSYNC DOES ✔ Extracts every member of the currently open WhatsApp group ✔ Captures saved contact names, push names, and phone numbers ✔ Resolves WhatsApp's internal LID identifiers back to real phone numbers ✔ Shows a live count of exactly how many contacts were found ✔ Gives you an instant on-screen preview before you pay anything ✔ Exports to CSV, Excel .xlsx, and vCard .vcf ✔ Unlocks that group for 24 hours — take every format, re-download freely ✔ Names the export file after the group automatically ✔ Runs entirely inside your own browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere ✔ Requires no signup, no account, no login, no email, no OTP ════════════════════════ HOW IT WORKS — THREE STEPS STEP 1 — OPEN YOUR GROUP Go to web.whatsapp.com and log in as usual by scanning the QR code with your phone. Open the group you want to export. If it is large, click the group name at the top and open the participants list so WhatsApp loads the full roster into the page. STEP 2 — CLICK EXTRACT Click the GroupSync icon in your toolbar and press "Extract Group Members". Within seconds you see the total contact count and a preview of the first ten names and numbers, so you can confirm you scanned the right group before spending anything. STEP 3 — CHOOSE A FORMAT AND DOWNLOAD Pick CSV, Excel, or vCard and complete the payment. The moment it succeeds, your file downloads automatically — no waiting, no email delivery, no follow-up. That group then stays unlocked for the next 24 hours, so you can come back for the other two formats, or download again, without paying a second time. ════════════════════════ THE THREE EXPORT FORMATS — AND WHEN TO USE EACH ▸ CSV (.csv) — use when importing into other software The universal format. Opens in Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice, and Numbers, and imports into virtually every CRM, email platform, and SMS gateway ever built. Written with a UTF-8 byte-order mark so Indian language names, accented characters, and emoji arrive intact instead of as garbled symbols — a detail most exporters get wrong. ▸ Excel (.xlsx) — use when a human will work with the list directly A genuine Excel workbook with a proper header row (Name, Phone) and a named "Contacts" sheet. No import wizard, no delimiter prompts, no "text to columns" step. Double-click and it opens perfectly formatted, ready to sort, filter, deduplicate, or build a pivot table. ▸ vCard (.vcf) — use when you want contacts in your actual phone The standard contact-card format every phone and address book understands. Email the file to yourself, open it on your phone, and every contact is added in one tap. Works with Android and iOS Contacts, Google Contacts, Outlook, and any CardDAV service. ════════════════════════ WHO USES GROUPSYNC SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS AND RESELLERS — Consolidate years of customer groups into one master database, remove duplicates, and finally know how many unique customers you have. REAL ESTATE AGENTS AND BROKERS — Move buyer enquiry and channel-partner groups into your CRM the same day they fill up, while the interest is still warm. EDUCATORS AND COACHING CENTRES — Batch, parent, and admission groups into your attendance sheet, fee tracker, or SMS tool, without asking three hundred parents to fill a form again. EVENT ORGANISERS AND WEDDING PLANNERS — Guest, vendor, and volunteer groups become a proper contact sheet for RSVPs, rosters, and reminder calls. COMMUNITY, RWA AND HOUSING SOCIETY ADMINS — Keep an accurate resident directory, and an offline emergency contact list that does not depend on anyone's phone. NGOS, RECRUITERS AND ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS — Volunteer, donor, job-seeker, and batch groups become organised, searchable records instead of endless chat history. ════════════════════════ PRIVACY AND SECURITY — READ THIS PART This matters more than any feature, so here is exactly how GroupSync handles your data. EVERYTHING RUNS LOCALLY GroupSync reads the WhatsApp Web page already open in your own browser, in your own logged-in session. Extraction, formatting, and file generation all happen inside Chrome on your machine, and the file is saved straight to your Downloads folder. NO CONTACT DATA IS EVER UPLOADED Your extracted names and numbers are never transmitted to us, stored on any server, sold, shared, used for advertising, or used to train anything. We literally never see them — there is no server-side component that could receive them even if we wanted it to. NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING No signup, no login, no email collection, no phone verification, no analytics on your contacts, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party trackers. NO WHATSAPP CREDENTIALS ARE TOUCHED GroupSync never asks for, sees, stores, or transmits your WhatsApp password, phone number, session keys, QR code, or authentication tokens. You log in exactly as you always do, and GroupSync simply reads the page that results. NO MESSAGES ARE READ GroupSync extracts participant names and phone numbers from the group member list. It does not read, collect, store, or export your chat messages, media, voice notes, documents, status updates, or call history. NOTHING IS SENT ON YOUR BEHALF GroupSync is strictly read-and-export. It cannot and does not send messages, create groups, add or remove members, broadcast, or auto-reply. It has no bulk-messaging capability of any kind. MINIMAL PERMISSIONS, EXPLAINED • activeTab and scripting — to read the member list from the WhatsApp Web tab you are actively using • storage — to hold your extracted list locally between clicking Export and completing payment so your download is not lost, and to remember which groups you have unlocked and until when • tabs — to open the payment page and return you to your download • Host access to web.whatsapp.com — the only place group data exists • Host access to groupsync.pinecoder.in — our own payment confirmation page That is the complete list. Nothing broader is requested. WHICH GROUPS YOU UNLOCKED STAYS ON YOUR MACHINE The 24-hour access record is stored locally in your browser and holds no contacts — just the group's identifier and name, the payment reference, and when access expires. The checkout page is never told which group you scanned. PAYMENTS ARE HANDLED BY RAZORPAY AND PAYPAL Card numbers, UPI PINs, CVVs, and bank credentials are entered on Razorpay's or PayPal's own PCI-DSS Level 1 certified infrastructure. GroupSync never sees or stores any payment credential. ════════════════════════ PRICING — HONEST AND SIMPLE SCANNING IS FREE, FOREVER Extract any group, see the exact contact count, and preview the results as often as you like without paying anything. You always know precisely what you are getting before you decide. ONE PAYMENT OPENS A GROUP FOR 24 HOURS ₹50 in India, $2.50 everywhere else. That payment unlocks the group you scanned for a full day: download it as CSV, as Excel, and as vCard if you want all three, re-download as many times as you need, and re-scan the group inside that window at no extra cost. Picked the wrong format? Take the right one, free. File saved to the wrong folder, or lost? Download it again, free. Group grew by thirty people that afternoon? Re-scan and re-export, free. No monthly subscription. No free trial that silently becomes a charge. No credit packs that expire. No per-contact pricing that punishes you for a large group. No upsells, no premium tier, no locked features. A group with 12 members costs the same as one with 1,200. After 24 hours, exporting that group again is a new payment — compare that to two hours of manual copying, or to subscription tools charging ₹500 to ₹2,000 every month for the same job. PAY HOWEVER SUITS YOU In India, Razorpay handles the payment — UPI, all major debit and credit cards, net banking, and wallets. Everywhere else it is PayPal, so you can pay with a PayPal balance or any card without needing an Indian payment method. The right one is offered automatically based on where you are, and there is a link to switch by hand if it guesses wrong. ════════════════════════ REQUIREMENTS • Google Chrome, or any Chromium-based browser (Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Arc) • An active WhatsApp account, logged in at web.whatsapp.com • Membership of the group you want to export • An internet connection for the payment step Works on Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS, with WhatsApp Business as well as personal accounts. ════════════════════════ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: What exactly does one payment buy? A: Access to that one group for 24 hours. Every format, unlimited downloads, and re-scans included. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and nothing is charged automatically. After 24 hours, exporting that group again is a new payment. Q: Do I need to be a group admin? A: No. If you can see the participant list as an ordinary member, GroupSync can export it. Some groups are configured by their admins to hide the member list from non-admins — in those cases neither you nor GroupSync can see the participants, because WhatsApp never sends that data to your browser. Q: How many contacts can it handle? A: No built-in limit — from a handful of people to the full WhatsApp maximum. Very large groups take a few extra seconds because WhatsApp loads participants progressively; scroll the member list to the bottom once before extracting so the whole roster is loaded. Q: Will the exported numbers work for calling and messaging? A: Yes. Numbers are exported in full international format with country code, which is what phones, CRMs, and messaging platforms expect. Q: What if someone has no saved name? A: You will get their WhatsApp push name, or their phone number if no name is available. Nothing is silently dropped. Q: Can I export more than one group? A: Yes — switch to the next group, extract again, and download. Each group is priced separately and each stays unlocked for 24 hours from its own payment. Merging several exports in Excel or Google Sheets is straightforward. Q: Will my WhatsApp account get banned? A: GroupSync only reads data WhatsApp has already delivered to your own browser and shown on your own screen. It sends no messages, adds no members, and generates no unusual traffic to WhatsApp's servers. Use exported contacts responsibly, though — the fastest route to any account restriction is unsolicited bulk messaging, which GroupSync cannot do and does not encourage. Q: Is this affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta? A: No. GroupSync is an independent third-party tool. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. Q: What if a payment fails mid-transaction? A: Your extracted list stays saved locally, so nothing is lost. If a payment goes through and the file does not download, the group is still unlocked — reopen it and download again within the 24 hours. If anything is still wrong, contact us and you will be refunded; we would rather return the money than leave anyone unhappy. ════════════════════════ TROUBLESHOOTING "No contacts found" — Open the group, click the group name at the top to open the participants panel, scroll to the very bottom so WhatsApp loads every member, then extract again. "Cannot connect to WhatsApp Web" — Refresh web.whatsapp.com with F5, wait for chats to load, then try again. WhatsApp Web must be fully initialised before extraction begins. Extraction seems slow — Large groups take longer because WhatsApp resolves internal identifiers to phone numbers one at a time. Let it run. Extension icon does nothing — Confirm the active tab is web.whatsapp.com. GroupSync intentionally does nothing on other websites. ════════════════════════ RESPONSIBLE USE — PLEASE READ GroupSync is for people who need legitimate access to contacts from groups they are genuinely part of. How you use exported data is your responsibility, and it is governed by real law. Please: • Only export groups you are legitimately a member of • Respect the privacy of everyone whose details you export • Get consent before adding anyone to a marketing list, and never send unsolicited bulk messages • Comply with your local data protection laws — India's DPDP Act, the GDPR, the TCPA, and any others that apply to you • Honour opt-out requests immediately and permanently • Store exported files securely and delete them when no longer needed Do not use GroupSync for spam, harassment, scams, unauthorised data collection, or reselling personal data. ════════════════════════ WHAT GROUPSYNC IS NOT • Not a bulk-messaging or WhatsApp marketing tool. It cannot send a single message. • Not an auto-responder, chatbot, or scheduler. • Not a group-joining, member-adding, or group-creating tool. • Not a chat backup or message archiver. • Not a way to see contacts of people you do not share a group with. • Not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. It does exactly one job — turning a group member list into a usable contact file — and does it properly. ════════════════════════ VERSION 3.2 One payment now opens a group for 24 hours instead of buying a single file — every format, unlimited re-downloads, re-scans included. So choosing the wrong format, or losing a download, no longer costs anything. Also in this release: international pricing through PayPal, so no Indian payment method is needed; the amount is decided at checkout rather than fixed inside the extension, so the price you are quoted is always the price you are charged; a rebuilt extraction engine that is far more reliable on large groups; full LID-to-phone-number resolution for WhatsApp's newer identifier system; automatic group-name-based file naming; UTF-8 fixes for Indian language and emoji names; and native .xlsx export. ════════════════════════ SUPPORT Website: groupsync.pinecoder.in Questions, bug reports, refund requests, and feature suggestions are all welcome. GroupSync is actively maintained and we genuinely read what users send. ════════════════════════ DISCLAIMER GroupSync is an independent third-party Chrome extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to WhatsApp LLC or Meta Platforms, Inc. WhatsApp is a registered trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc., used here for identification only. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their use of GroupSync, and of any exported data, complies with WhatsApp's Terms of Service and all applicable data protection, privacy, and anti-spam regulations in their jurisdiction. ════════════════════════ Install GroupSync, open your group, and get your contacts out in the next thirty seconds. Scanning is free — try it before you spend anything.
