Bulk export Bluesky data to CSV, Excel or JSON. One click, no API needed. # Bluesky Exporter - Posts, Followers & Profiles **Export any Bluesky data in seconds. No API knowledge required.** --- ## The Problem Bluesky doesn't offer a built-in way to export your data. Need to back up your posts? Analyze your followers? Research trending content? You're stuck manually copying and pasting—one item at a time. For researchers, marketers, and power users, this limitation is a dealbreaker. The official API exists, but it requires technical knowledge that most people don't have. Even developers find it tedious to write scripts for simple data extraction tasks. Bluesky Exporter solves this problem. It captures data as you browse, letting you export thousands of posts, profiles, and followers with a single click. No coding. No API tokens. No complex setup. --- ## Key Features ### One-Click Data Capture Browse Bluesky normally. The extension automatically detects and captures posts, profiles, comments, and user lists as they load. When you're ready, hit Export. That's it. ### Multiple Export Formats Export your data in the format that works for your workflow: - **CSV** - Open in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app - **XLSX** - Native Excel format with proper formatting - **JSON** - Structured data for developers and automation tools - **RAW JSON** - Unprocessed API responses for advanced analysis - **HTML** - Formatted tables for reports and presentations - **XML** - Universal interchange format - **TXT** - Plain text for quick reference ### Customizable Fields Don't need all 16 data points for each post? Select only the fields you care about. Drag and drop to reorder columns. Save your preferences for future exports. ### Auto-Scroll Pagination Collecting a large dataset? Enable auto-scroll and the extension will automatically load more content while capturing everything. Walk away and come back to a complete export. ### Webhook Integration Push exported data directly to your own endpoint. Connect to Zapier, Make, n8n, or your custom backend. Automate your data pipeline without manual file transfers. ### Search & Filter Before exporting, search through captured data to find specific items. Remove entries you don't need. Export only what matters. --- ## What Can You Export? ### Posts Capture posts from feeds, profiles, and search results. **Available fields:** - Post text content - Author handle and display name - Author profile URL and avatar - Post URL (direct link) - Published date and time - Language - Engagement metrics: likes, reposts, replies, quotes - Attached images and videos - Post type ### Post Comments Extract all replies to any post, sorted by engagement. **Available fields:** - Comment text - Author handle - Comment URL - Published date - Like count - Reply count - Attached media ### Post Engagement See exactly who interacted with a post. **Likes:** Export the full list of users who liked a post—handle, display name, bio, avatar, account creation date, and profile URL. **Reposts:** Same detailed information for everyone who reposted. ### Profiles Build a database of Bluesky users with complete profile information. **Available fields:** - Handle and display name - Bio/description - Avatar and banner images - Follower count - Following count - Post count - Account creation date - Pinned post - Associated lists and feeds - Profile URL ### Followers & Following Export complete follower and following lists from any profile. **Available fields:** - Handle and display name - Bio/description - Avatar - Account creation date - Profile URL --- ## How It Works ### Step 1: Install Add Bluesky Exporter to Chrome from the Web Store. The extension runs silently in the background, capturing data as pages load. ### Step 3: Review Click the extension icon to see what's been captured. Each data type shows a count and preview. Click any item to see full details. Use the search box to filter results. ### Step 4: Customize Click "Customize Fields" to choose which data points to include. Drag fields to reorder columns. Export your posts, replies, and engagement history to maintain a personal archive. If you ever need to migrate or prove what you posted, you have the receipts. ### Audience Research Building a presence on Bluesky? Export your followers to understand who's paying attention. Analyze their bios, check when they joined, identify patterns. Do the same with competitors' followers to find potential audience overlap. ### Content Analysis Researching what performs well in your niche? Export posts from top creators or search results for specific topics. Import into a spreadsheet and analyze engagement patterns, posting times, content formats, and language. ### Lead Generation For B2B marketers and sales teams, Bluesky followers represent potential leads. Export follower lists from relevant industry accounts, filter by bio keywords, and build targeted outreach lists. ### Academic Research Studying social media dynamics, information spread, or community formation? Bluesky's open protocol makes it a unique research subject. Export structured datasets for quantitative analysis without wrestling with API rate limits. ### Community Management Running a Bluesky community or brand account? Export engagement data to identify your most active supporters. Track who's liking, reposting, and commenting on your content over time. ### Competitive Intelligence Monitor what competitors are posting and how their audience responds. Export their post history and engagement metrics to benchmark against your own performance. ### Influencer Vetting Before partnering with a Bluesky creator, export their followers and engagement data. Verify their audience is real and relevant to your goals. --- ## Technical Details ### Browser Compatibility Works on Chrome and all Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera, Vivaldi). ### Data Capture Method The extension intercepts API responses as you browse. It doesn't make additional requests or hit rate limits. Your normal browsing loads the data; the extension just captures and structures it. ### Privacy & Security - No data is sent to external servers (unless you configure webhook export) - All processing happens locally in your browser - The extension only activates on bsky.app - No login credentials are accessed or stored - Minimal permissions: storage, tabs, downloads ### Rate Limits Because the extension captures data from your normal browsing session, there are no artificial rate limits. You export what you can load. For very large datasets (10,000+ items), the main limitation is browser memory. ### Data Freshness Data is captured in real-time as you browse. Posts show current engagement counts at the time of capture. Re-visit a page to update the numbers. ### File Sizes Typical exports: - 1,000 posts with all fields: ~500KB CSV, ~800KB XLSX - 10,000 followers: ~1.5MB CSV, ~2MB XLSX - Large exports may take a few seconds to generate --- ## Frequently Asked Questions ### Does this work without logging into Bluesky? Partially. Public profiles and posts are accessible without login. However, some data (like full follower lists beyond a certain count) requires authentication. For best results, browse while logged in. ### Will this get my account banned? No. The extension doesn't make any requests on your behalf. It simply captures data from requests your browser is already making during normal usage. From Bluesky's perspective, you're just browsing. ### Can I export private or blocked content? No. The extension only captures data that's visible to you in your browser. If you can't see it on screen, the extension can't capture it. ### How do I export more than what's visible on screen? Scroll down to load more content. The extension captures data as it loads. For large exports, use the auto-scroll feature to automate this process. ### Why are some fields showing "Not Available"? Not all posts/profiles have all data. A post without images will show "Not Available" for the image field. A user without a bio will show "Not Available" for description. This is normal. ### Can I schedule automatic exports? Not directly. The extension requires you to browse Bluesky to capture data. However, you can use webhook export combined with browser automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Puppeteer) for advanced automation workflows. ### What's the difference between JSON and RAW JSON? JSON export gives you cleaned, structured data with consistent field names. RAW JSON exports the original API response exactly as received—useful for developers who need access to fields not included in the standard export. ### Does it work on mobile? No. Chrome extensions don't run on mobile browsers. Use a desktop or laptop computer. ### Can I export direct messages? No. DMs are not accessible through the browser in a way that the extension can capture. ### How do I export data from multiple profiles efficiently? Open profiles in separate tabs. The extension maintains a single export list across all tabs. Browse multiple profiles, then export everything at once. --- ## Getting Started Install Bluesky Exporter from the Chrome Web Store.
