Record tab audio, optionally mix in the microphone, and save as WebM, WAV, or MP3. Record whatever the current Chrome tab is playing — YouTube, a meeting, a podcast — and save it as a file on your computer. Tab Audio Recorder captures the tab’s speaker output. Sound in the tab keeps playing while you record. Recording continues after you close the popup. Open the tab you want to record 2. Click the extension icon 3. Optionally enable Include microphone and pick a save format 4. Press Start recording 5. Press Stop & save Notes • chrome:// pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be captured • The first time you enable the microphone, Chrome may open a permission tab — allow it once, then start again • WAV and MP3 use more memory on long recordings than WebM • Nothing is uploaded.
