Manage Ghost Downloader tasks and send browser resources to Ghost Downloader. Ghost Downloader for Browser is the companion extension for the Ghost Downloader desktop application. It bridges your browser and the desktop client to provide a seamless download experience. Key features: • Intercept browser downloads — Automatically take over download links and send them to Ghost Downloader for accelerated, multi-threaded downloading. • Media sniffing — Detect and capture video/audio streams (HLS, DASH, MP4) playing on web pages. A floating "Download this media" button appears when you hover over a video, letting you grab the stream with one click. • Resource browsing — View all captured media resources from the current page and other tabs, filter by type (video/audio), and send selected resources to Ghost Downloader. • Image collection — Scan and browse all images on the current page, filter by size, and batch-send them to Ghost Downloader. • Task management — Monitor download progress, pause/resume tasks, open completed files, and redownload directly from the extension popup. • Right-click integration — Right-click any link and choose "Download with Ghost Downloader" from the context menu. • Side panel support — Pin the extension as a persistent side panel for uninterrupted workflow while browsing. • Multi-language support — Available in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Portuguese, and Russian. The extension connects to the Ghost Downloader desktop app via a local WebSocket on localhost. No data is sent to any remote server.
