Instant dark mode for every site. Night View adds instant dark mode to websites while protecting rich-text editors from breakage. Most dark-mode extensions can interfere with editor frameworks by mutating DOM nodes inside editor subtrees. Night View is designed to avoid that class of bugs by keeping a strict editor-safe architecture. Key features * One-click dark mode toggle * Per-site on/off controls * Filter mode (default): minimal, stable, and safe * Override mode: stronger visual restyling outside editors * Brightness, contrast, and sepia controls * Auto-detect for already-dark sites * Follow system dark mode (prefers-color-scheme) * Keyboard shortcuts for quick control * Sync preferences across Chrome browsers (chrome.storage.sync) * Editor-safe by design * Uses a single style element in document head * Avoids body-wide mutation observation * Excludes common editor selectors: [contenteditable], .ProseMirror, .remirror-editor, .CodeMirror, .cm-editor, .monaco-editor, [data-slate-editor], .ql-editor, .tiptap * Pre-disables known editor-heavy sites by default * Night View is built for users who want dark mode everywhere without risking editor freezes, blank states, or lost input.
