Browse Reddit in Chrome's side panel without switching tabs. Search posts, add subreddit shortcuts, and resume your last page. Browse Reddit beside any Chrome tab. Reddit Side Panel opens reddit.com in Chrome's side panel so you can read posts and comments while keeping your main page in view. Follow a discussion beside an article, compare community advice with a product page, or visit your favorite subreddits as you browse. The panel stays available when you switch tabs in the same window. FEATURES • Open from the toolbar or a configurable keyboard shortcut • Search Reddit for posts and discussions • Keep up to six shortcuts for Home, Popular, All, or favorite subreddits • Add a subreddit directly from the panel • Choose Home, Popular, All, a subreddit, or your last panel page at startup • Go back, reload, or open the current Reddit page in a regular tab • Use compact controls designed for Chrome's side panel GET STARTED Install the extension, pin it from Chrome's Extensions menu, and click its toolbar button. Enter a search or use + to add a subreddit shortcut. Open Settings to choose your start page and quick links. Optional Resume reopens your most recently saved Reddit URL; it does not restore an exact scroll position. YOUR REDDIT SESSION Reddit may recognize an existing session when Chrome's cookie and privacy settings allow it. Sign in directly through reddit.com if needed. The extension does not request your Reddit credentials, inspect login fields, or read session cookies. PRIVACY AND ACCESS Website access is limited to reddit.com. The extension does not inspect your main tab to find related discussions. The developer receives no extension browsing data and operates no extension analytics, advertising, account, or data server. Startup preferences and quick links can synchronize through Chrome. Optional Resume saves the most recent Reddit URL locally, including any search query or page parameters it contains. Disabling Resume stops future updates and removes that URL when the panel observes the change or next starts. Searches go directly to Reddit, which handles its own accounts, cookies, content, advertising, and website activity. To embed Reddit, the extension removes frame-blocking and complete content-security response headers from matching Reddit subframes whose top-level frame belongs to this extension. The rule does not apply under ordinary Reddit tabs. Website access also supports panel navigation, the compact Reddit header, and opening clicked external links in regular tabs.
