Fight brain rot on YouTube. Hide Shorts, block autoplay, and remove all distractions. YT Focus — Fight Brain Rot on YouTube YouTube was designed to keep you watching. Every Shorts shelf, every autoplay, every recommended video after a video — it's all engineered to steal your attention. YT Focus gives you back control. ──────────────────────────────────── FEATURES ──────────────────────────────────── 🚫 Hide YouTube Shorts Remove every Shorts shelf from your feed, search results, and sidebar. The Shorts button disappears from the navigation too. Out of sight, out of mind. ⏸ Block Autoplay Stop YouTube from automatically playing the next video. You decide what to watch next — not the algorithm. 🎯 Focus Mode Hide the entire sidebar of recommended videos while you're watching. No rabbit holes. Just the video you chose to watch. 🏠 Hide Home Feed Remove the YouTube homepage feed entirely. If you want to watch something, you have to search for it intentionally. No more mindless scrolling the moment you open YouTube. 💬 Hide Comments Remove the comment section to eliminate social comparison, arguments, and the urge to keep scrolling past the video. 🖤 Grayscale Mode Render YouTube in grayscale. Color is one of the most powerful dopamine triggers YouTube uses — removing it makes the site significantly less addictive. ──────────────────────────────────── WHY IT EXISTS ──────────────────────────────────── Brain rot is real. Shortened attention spans, compulsive scrolling, and the inability to watch a 20-minute video without checking your phone — these are symptoms of a feed designed to maximize watch time, not your wellbeing. YT Focus is a simple tool with one goal: make YouTube intentional again. Use it to watch the business channels, lectures, or documentaries you actually want to learn from — without getting pulled into a Shorts spiral. ──────────────────────────────────── HOW IT WORKS ──────────────────────────────────── Click the extension icon. Toggle the features you want. Done. Settings are saved automatically and apply instantly — no page refresh needed. Works with YouTube's dark mode and light mode. ──────────────────────────────────── PRIVACY ──────────────────────────────────── YT Focus collects zero data. No analytics, no tracking, no servers. Your settings are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device. The extension only modifies what you see on YouTube — nothing else.
