Description
Add LinkedIn candidates to your Venteja Succession Plans Venteja is a Chrome extension for LinkedIn that helps you turn profiles into real candidates in your Venteja Succession Planning workspace. It is built for people who need a fast and clean way to build succession plans, talent pools, and project slates without copy and paste. When you visit a LinkedIn profile, the extension is ready with a floating "Add to Venteja" button and a simple popup from the toolbar, so you can capture the candidate at the moment you find them. This extension is focused on speed and accuracy. Instead of retyping names, titles, and history from LinkedIn, it reads the visible profile data and creates a structured record inside Venteja. It is designed to help leaders and recruiters stay in the flow while browsing LinkedIn and to reduce the time it takes to move from discovery to action. What it captures is practical and useful for succession planning. The extension pulls the basics like name, current role, company, and location. It can also extract deeper context, such as experience history, education entries, skills, and the About section when those areas are visible on the page. If LinkedIn exposes contact info like email or phone, the extension can capture that too. When details are missing from the headline, it uses the experience section to find a current company or role, which improves accuracy for profiles that are incomplete. Experience and education details are captured as lists, not just a single line. That means a candidate record can include multiple roles with titles, companies, and dates when LinkedIn provides them. Education entries can include school, degree, field of study, and year. Skills are pulled from the visible skills area so you have a quick summary of strengths. This gives you a richer candidate profile without the manual effort, and it keeps the details linked to the LinkedIn source. Key capabilities include: Quick add from any LinkedIn profile page with one click. A profile preview that shows the key fields before you add the candidate. Assignment to a Succession Plan, Talent Pool, or Project from your own Venteja account. An optional "Add to Candidates" toggle so you control where the candidate lands. Duplicate detection that checks the LinkedIn URL and alerts you if the person already exists. AI enrichment through the Venteja platform to improve data quality when possible. Manual review and editing if AI enrichment is unavailable. Secure sign in with a one time passcode sent to your email. The experience is designed to be fast and reliable. LinkedIn is a single page app, which means the URL and the page content change without a full reload. The extension watches for those changes and updates itself as you move from one profile to another. That way the "Add to Venteja" button and the popup stay accurate, even when you open several profiles in a row. You do not need to refresh the page or reload the extension. When you click "Add to Venteja" from the floating button, a clean modal opens on the LinkedIn page. It shows a preview with the candidate name and headline, and then lets you choose where to store the candidate. You can add them to a succession plan, a talent pool, a project, or any combination that makes sense. You can also choose to add them to your general candidate list or leave that off. This gives you control without extra steps or extra screens. The popup offers the same core workflow if you prefer using the extension icon. It detects if you are on a LinkedIn profile, shows a preview, and loads your available plans, pools, and projects. The extension uses your Venteja account to fetch those lists, so what you see in the popup matches your live workspace. You can keep the popup open while you review, or close it and continue browsing LinkedIn. AI enrichment is optional but helpful. When you add a candidate, the extension first asks the Venteja platform to enrich the profile based on the LinkedIn URL. This can fill in gaps and add more complete data. If enrichment is successful, the candidate is added quickly and you get a clear success message. If enrichment is not available, the extension falls back to a manual review form. In that form you can edit the extracted fields, fill any missing details, and confirm the final candidate record before saving. This balance gives you speed when it works and control when you need it. The review form is designed to be clear and simple. It shows the LinkedIn URL, the core identity fields, and a compact view of experience and education. If anything looks off, you can correct it before submitting. This is useful for profiles with unusual formatting or incomplete sections, and it gives you confidence that the data in Venteja reflects what you saw on LinkedIn. Duplicate detection protects your data quality. Before adding a new person, the extension checks if that LinkedIn profile already exists in your database. If it does, you see a warning so you do not create duplicates by accident. This is especially helpful for teams that share a workspace or work across multiple searches, where the same person might be found by different teammates. Typical workflow: Open a LinkedIn profile page. Click the floating "Add to Venteja" button or the extension icon. Review the extracted profile preview. Select a succession plan, talent pool, or project. Click "Add Candidate to Platform" and confirm success. Why teams like this extension: It removes repetitive copy and paste work. It keeps data consistent across plans, pools, and projects. It helps avoid duplicate entries from shared sourcing. It supports fast capture while a profile is fresh in your mind. It lets you stay in LinkedIn without losing context. Sign in is simple and secure. The extension uses a one time passcode sent to your email, so you do not have to enter a password in the browser popup. Once you are signed in, the extension can keep your session and also sync with the Venteja web platform if you are already logged in there. That means you can move between the web app and LinkedIn without signing in twice. If you are logged out on the web, the extension follows that state so your session stays consistent. The extension also includes a small settings page for account support and preferences. You can confirm the platform URL, view basic usage stats, and access help links. This keeps the tool light, while still giving you a place to confirm that you are connected and see how much value the extension is adding to your workflow. This extension is ideal for succession planning teams, recruiters, and HR leaders who want to keep a clean and current view of talent. It helps you move from discovery to action quickly, and it keeps your records consistent across plans and pools. Whether you are building a short list for a critical role or collecting long term prospects, the extension reduces the busy work and helps you capture high quality data while you browse. Privacy and security matter. The extension only activates on LinkedIn profile pages and the Venteja platform. It does not post to LinkedIn or interact with your messages. Data is sent to the Venteja API over HTTPS to create candidate records in your account. Your session data is stored in Chrome storage. You stay in control of what gets saved and where it goes. If you need to move from the browser back to the platform, you can open the Venteja site directly from the extension. This helps you follow up with deeper workflow steps like organizing candidates, reviewing plans, or collaborating with your team. Venteja for LinkedIn is a focused tool for capturing candidate data accurately and quickly. It brings your LinkedIn research into your succession planning process without extra tabs, spreadsheets, or copy and paste. Use it to keep your pipeline tidy, reduce duplicates, and turn profiles into actionable candidates in seconds.
