Search your browsing history and bookmarks locally — fast, private, offline. Recall Search makes your browsing history and bookmarks actually searchable — by their content, not just their titles. Ever remember reading something but can't recall where? Recall Search indexes the full text of pages you visit and bookmark, then lets you find them instantly with a fast, private, on-device search. KEY FEATURES • Full-content search — finds pages by what they say, not just their title or URL • Hybrid search engine — keyword (BM25) + AI semantic search, so "forgot the exact words" still works • 100% offline — the AI model runs locally on your device; nothing is ever sent to a server • Instant popup — live results as you type, full keyboard navigation • Open or focus — jumps to the tab if the page is already open, otherwise opens it • Smart content capture — reads the main article text on each visit (works on logged-in and paywalled pages) • Configurable — choose sources (bookmarks and/or history), lookback window, and capture behavior PRIVACY FIRST All indexing and search happens on your machine. The embedding model is bundled with the extension — no cloud calls, no tracking, no account required. An optional AI-enrichment feature (off by default) is the only thing that can use a network key, and only if you add one yourself.
