Description
Long-press on any image to select, drag, copy, or download it. HoldPick is the fastest way to grab an image from any web page. Just press and hold — a selection ring traces the image like a lightsaber, and an action menu appears with Copy and Download. Inspired by Apple's "Touch and Hold Subject," rebuilt for desktop web. No right-click menus, no "Save image as...", no drag-and-drop fights with the page. One gesture, one action. ═══════════════════════════════════════ ★ HOW IT WORKS 1. Hover over any image. 2. Press and hold for 0.8 seconds (adjustable). 3. A glowing border traces the image — release when it completes. 4. Click Copy to put the image on your clipboard, or Download to save it. The long-press gesture is deliberate — it never interferes with normal clicks, drags, or page interactions. ═══════════════════════════════════════ ★ FREE • Long-press any <img> element on any page. • Copy to clipboard (PNG). • Download original image. • Configurable long-press duration (400–1500 ms). • Customizable selection ring color and thickness. • 20 actions per day. ═══════════════════════════════════════ ★ PRO — $12.99/year or $39.99 lifetime Unlock everything in Free, plus: • CSS background-image support — grab images that aren't real <img> tags (hero backgrounds, Pinterest-style cards, decorative elements). • Batch select — Ctrl/Cmd + long-press to build a multi-image selection, then Copy All or Download All. • Format conversion — download as PNG, JPG, or WebP regardless of the source format. • Image resizing — downscale to 1920, 1280, 800, or 400 px on the longest edge while preserving aspect ratio. • Custom filename templates — use {domain}, {date}, {time}, {original}, {index} variables. • Download history — thumbnail, domain, and timestamp for your last 100 actions. Synced to your account. • Unlimited daily actions. 14-day refund, no questions asked. See holdpick.org for full pricing. ═══════════════════════════════════════ ★ PRIVACY • The extension never reads or transmits page content or image data. • Images are processed locally in your browser. • Firebase stores only your plan tier and a daily usage counter. • No analytics, no tracking, no ads. Full privacy policy linked from the store listing. ═══════════════════════════════════════ ★ PERMISSIONS • <all_urls>: the feature must work on any page with images — that's the single purpose. • clipboardWrite + downloads: the two actions the extension performs. • identity: optional Google Sign-In so your settings follow you across devices. • storage: remembers your settings between sessions. ═══════════════════════════════════════ ★ WHY LONG-PRESS? Because a right-click menu is slow, a keyboard shortcut is hidden, and a drag-and-drop fights with the page. Press-and-hold is muscle memory from your phone — we brought it to the desktop. ═══════════════════════════════════════ Built for Chrome. Manifest V3. Open source. Feedback: contact@holdpick.org
