Right-click any YouTube link to open the video in Chrome's side panel and get summary automatically (powered by YouTube's AI). Get a summary of any YouTube video without leaving the page you're on. Right-click a link to a YouTube video and choose "Summary in sidebar". The video opens in Chrome's side panel, and the extension automatically starts YouTube's own built-in "Ask about this video" feature and clicks "Summarize the video" for you — no copying links, no extra clicks, no third-party AI service. HOW IT WORKS • Works with all common link forms: youtube.com/watch, youtu.be, youtube.com/shorts, youtube.com/live (including www. and m. links) • The video plays normally in the side panel while the summary is generated • Inside the side panel, the summary is placed between the description and the comments, fully expanded for easy reading • Regular YouTube tabs are completely untouched — no layout changes, no auto-clicks PRIVACY This extension collects no data whatsoever. There are no analytics, no external servers, and no third-party AI. The summary is generated by YouTube's own on-page feature, exactly as if you had clicked it yourself. REQUIREMENTS & LIMITATIONS • "Ask about this video" is YouTube's own feature: it requires being signed in to YouTube and is only available for some accounts, regions, and videos. The extension automates the clicks but cannot enable the feature where YouTube doesn't offer it. • Signing in inside the side panel requires third-party cookies to be allowed for youtube.com (Chrome's default). If the automatic flow can't run, a notice explains why. The side panel appears on the right by default. Chrome controls the panel's position (left/right) globally — you can change it in Chrome settings under Appearance → Side panel (a shortcut is provided on the extension's Options page).
