[Allow access to file URLs from extension settings] Markdown Reader turns plain local Markdown files into a comfortable reading experience right in Chrome—similar to project or product documentation sites, but for files on your computer. What it does When you open a .md or .markdown file (or browse a folder of Markdown files), the extension renders the file with readable typography, code blocks, and tables instead of raw text. After that, open a .md file with File → Open or drag it into the browser.
