Local-only Claude usage tracker. Counts your messages, characters, and tokens. Zero telemetry. Claudit quietly observes your Claude activity and surfaces honest counts: messages sent, characters typed, estimated tokens, per-conversation rollups, a 12-week activity heatmap. Built for people who actually want to see how much they rely on Claude — not a dashboard of rate-limit theater. WHAT IT DOES • Per-turn tracking on claude.ai — counts user and assistant messages as they happen. • Popup at a glance — today/week/month totals, most recent activity, daily-goal progress. • Dashboard workbench — KPI grid, 30-day timeline, conversations table, model distribution, 12-week heatmap, day-by-day log. • Daily goal — set a target for messages, characters, or tokens. The toolbar icon turns from green to amber to red as you close in. • Plan usage (opt-in) — if you grant the cookies permission, the extension can read Anthropic's session/weekly plan percentages so Claude Code CLI and API usage are counted too. Off by default. • CSV and JSON export — every view can be downloaded. Full-storage JSON export round-trips for backup or migration. • Dark and light themes — syncs with your OS or pick manually. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO • No telemetry. No analytics. No product metrics. Not a single byte leaves your device by default. • No accounts. No sign-up. No API key. • No third-party fonts, no external scripts, no tracking pixels. • No server. The developer operates nothing this extension talks to. • No DOM modification on claude.ai — observation only. HOW IT WORKS The extension watches the claude.ai page you're already on. When you finish a turn, it reads the role, text length, conversation ID, title, and model — never the actual message content — and writes an event to chrome.storage.local. The popup and dashboard display aggregates over that local log. PERMISSIONS • storage — local event log. • alarms — nightly retention sweep and icon refresh. • claude.ai host access — required to run the content script that watches your chat page. • cookies (optional, off by default) — only requested if you enable "Plan usage tracking" in Settings.
