Raise creatures by reading the web. Every word you encounter helps your beast grow. WordBeasts is a passive creature-raising companion that lives in your browser. No grinding. No timers. No interruptions. Just browse the web like you normally would and watch your beast evolve. ── HOW IT WORKS ────────────────────────────────── Every time you visit a page, WordBeasts secretly selects one word from its 370,000-word dictionary. If that word appears somewhere on the page you're reading, your creature earns +10 EXP. A small notification quietly appears in the corner then fades away. That's it. Read more, grow more. ── YOUR CREATURE ───────────────────────────────── Start by choosing one of 12 eggs. Each hatches into a unique companion with its own name, type, and personality. As your creature levels up, it visually evolves through 4 distinct stages growing in size and power the more you read. - 12 base creatures: Fire Salamander, Water Sprite, Forest Sprite, Shadow Wisp, Stone Golem, Thunder Bird, Ice Fox, Lava Toad, Wind Moth, Crystal Spider, Sand Lizard, Night Owl - 4 evolution stages per creature (48 unique pixel art sprites) - Level 1–4 → Stage I | 5–9 → Stage II | 10–14 → Stage III | 15+ → Stage IV ── COMPLETELY PASSIVE ──────────────────────────── WordBeasts is designed to never get in your way. There are no popups demanding attention, no daily login streaks, no notifications asking you to come back. Your creature simply exists alongside your browsing quietly growing as you explore the web. ── PRIVATE BY DESIGN ───────────────────────────── All processing happens locally in your browser. The dictionary is bundled with the extension no data is sent to any server. WordBeasts never reads your passwords, form data, or personal information.
