Highlight a passage on any page and ask about it — the answer appears in the margin, beside the line that prompted it. Highlight and start typing: a card opens next to the passage, the way a note in a book's margin sits beside the sentence it's about. Ask what a term means, what a claim rests on, why the author went that way. The conversation stays anchored to that passage, so a page you've thought about hard reads like a page you've thought about hard. Nothing appears until you select something.
